4 of 5 My boys loved it! Saturday, December 06, 2008
Melissa from Springfield, Illinois
Our 4 year old son couldn't wait until we could get it out of the box. He kept saying "hi robot". Our 2 year old son dances along with the robot. They both enjoy him very much! We named him "Luke". We all enjoy the robots different personalities. We would purchase him again.

5 of 5 Not Compatable With Windows Vista Saturday, December 06, 2008
Sabra from Kansas
I got this for my son for Christmas but it happened to arrive on a day that he was home from school sick (RS MEDIA was printed on every side of the box) so we went ahead and got him out. My 10 year old son fell in love with him instantly. But his software does not seem to be compatable with windows VISTA so we have not been able to do any of the programing functions.

5 of 5 Kicka** robot fun. Dont pass this up at this price Saturday, November 29, 2008
Baron Woodward from Austin Texas
Excellent value if you wait for the sale price (a mere fraction of the original 2005 price). You can program this robot to do various tasks including "guard duty", "free roaming" and recognizing primary colors right out of the box. But the real fun starts when you learn how to hack into its embedded Linux and discover how to create your own programs in Java, C, and shell script. Takes VGA pictures and records audio (mp3) and video (mpeg4). Has audio, ifrared, and touch sensors plus USB port and SD card slot for more personalities and extended programming. If you track down the RS Media SDK you will be all set to develop in Java however other advanced programming options do exist. IMO this is not for little children or for the rank beginner. I sincerely doubt this robot would survive rough play by your average 8 year old. Regardless of the manufacturer 's 8+ age suggestion , I feel this toy is aimed squarely at the Linux hacker or hobby robot enthusiast market( age 12 and up).

3 of 5 Can't get up. Monday, March 10, 2008
A Customer from Catskill, NY
Don't buy this product! Buy the RS v2. The RS Media is to heavy (speakers, etc.) With new batts. the RS Media will get up maybe twice (very slowly). After that it needs help. The software is useless. Constant crashes, comes up blank until you min the window and expand. Tab lables redraw all over the place and on and on. This software was updated many times.... I feel I was riped-off by Wow-Wee...even at the discount price. If I paid $100.00 for it I would still feel riped-off. No more Wow-Wee products for me.

5 of 5 More Personality than a room of Comedians Saturday, December 29, 2007
Eddie from Highland Park, MI
This is the best version of the popular Wow Wee product line. The customizable robot is fun and ever evolving. The ability to change its content make this more than hours of fun... try years! The only possible drawback would be the sheer number of batteries neccessary to operate the robot, but what do you expect.. Its a fully mobile robot.

5 of 5 Great Robot! Thursday, December 27, 2007
A Dad from Seattle
Man, I wish I had one of these when I was a kid! My 11 year old son got one from Santa this year and really loves it. Right away he started making videos and taking pictures with it. I'll be curious to see if it sparks an interest within him to "hack" into the bot and look into programming in general. So far, though, it's just been all about the fun. He really likes the built in games and is just discovering all of the moves and features that it has to offer. I'll post back to see whether or not it holds his interest long term, but so far, he's having a great time with it.
