WowWee Robosapien Robot with remote control

I bought this toy to chase my dog around the house. Some of the interactions between the robot and the dog are hilarious. Of course, you can never make the scenario play out the way you want to, but the surprise and variety of how they interact together has yet to get stale. I'm having a lot of fun with this, weeks later, and am glad I got it. My single complaint is the ridiculous over-packaging. Have tools at the ready and be patient.

It does Not talk! It Grunts! Sounds like Stallone! The dance demo is Hilarious. Arm, Wrist and Finger Movements are Phenominal! Aiming and Clutching with 'Fingers', and picking up objects can be practiced to near 100% efficiency. Lighted eyes and hand palms are interesting. Walks very well and balanced. Does Not Run as claimed. All in All a Very Fun Robot for any lover of these machines, no matter what the age. I kept thinking; A lot of Robot for the Money and I would certainly purchase this Item Again. Thank-You!

I bought Robosapien for my son for Christmas.It was the greatest buy.Easy to operate even for 4 year old.Hours of fun not only for kids but for parents too.

This product really doesn't perform as you would think that it did when you read the ads. It's an OK buy, not a great buy.

The product is hard to figure out and the instructions are not clear. I am also upset that I paid $20.00 more on toys plus shipping than I would have if I had purchased the product from a local retail store which had plenty in stock. I thought your site offered fair prices and no shipping at certain times of the year, namely Christmas. But this item was expensive to ship and cost much more than most retail stores. What a bad experience!

My 12 year old nephew really liked Robosapien but the thing burps all the time. Maybe it was because he was just learning to use it but that is the only thing I didn't like about it. He plays with it all the time and really seems to enjoy it.

My boys are 5 and 7. They each got one of these for Christmas. They love them! They had no problems learning how to program them and have taught them special moves from their karate class.

I bought this toy for my son who is 6 years old. He was excited at first, however, this robot is a big disappointment especially for the money. He can not pick things up and comes with a plastic dish that is supposed to be of some assistance with picking things up, but this just doesnt help at all. Also, whereas the robot does a "dance" which is entertaining, he mostly grunts, burps, has flatulence and seems to be interested in attempting martial arts moves ( while grunting ) .. as I said, just not worth the money... at all.

The item was easy to play with intitially but a little difficult to go to the next 1,000 steps for my 9 yera old. He really enjoyed the robot but went back to playing other things after the novelty wore off.

My 5-year-old son received this gift for Christmas and has enjoyed playing with it since. He is able to negotiate most of the remote but does find it somewhat difficult when trying to have him pick things up. The robot is probably most fun for a mechanically-inclined child with some reading skills. It is quite sophisticated as evidenced in the price - we have found it worth it.

Though I couldn't give this the entire 4 stars the robot itself is extremely impressive...my son got it for his birthday and his tried to buy it from him. The last bid I heard on it was "my house and my bicycle". The 168 steps of the programming (or whatever it was) is a little misleading though. You actually have to program actions as a response to a stimulus (sound, hitting a wall etc.) then join them together somehow, rather than just programming 168 steps all at once. This is a pretty minor complaint though. Overall it's impressive.

My son loves the Robosapien he got for Christmas. The toy is really super. It walks, talks, dances,etc. The only problem with it is that it doesn't throw the ball far enough for my son's delight. This website was a great site to work with in making our Christmas shopping a breeze.

This robot was purchased for my 6 yr. old grandson. Robosapien does everything and he is able to operate it. He knew "Santa" could make him a robot just like this! The only problem was Christmas day after he saw what "Santa" brought........MY SON-IN-LAW WOULDN'T QUIT PLAYING WITH IT ALSO!!!! Overall, excellent Robot!

I bought this product for my 9 year old. He enjoys it, but in order for the robot to do some of the more complex "tricks" you have to press a series of buttons on the remote. Some are little hard to figure out. In order for the robot to do more than walk, be prepared to read and remember alot of commands.

My son (10) really likes this robot. He loves robots and gets a new one every year. This one is his favorite so far. We all laughed and had fun with it when he opened it. He figured out how to operate it very quickly and didn't have to sift through long manuals. He learned it mostly through trial and error (that was where the laughing came in). Everything works as expected and nothing has broken (although my son tends to take very good care of his toys - not sure where he gets that!)

While a clever (and expensive) idea, my 8 year old son bored of the robot after a day, never to return to playing with it. After watching it walk and pick-up items after an hour, the intrigue quickly wore off.

This has to be the most entertaining toy this season. Not only does my 7 year old love it, but we adults are amused as well. Robosapien can even dance! Well worth the money

This robot has kept my son, 13, busy. He loves it. Every time his older brothers come over, 22 and 19, they want to play with it also. It has been a great toy.
