5 of 5 Loads of fun, BUY IT Monday, May 18, 2009
Don from KS

Steep learning curve, you don't so much control it as delay the inevitable contact with the ground. Too little throttle and in dives, too much and it pitches up and stalls. Every flight has ended in an uncontrolled landing, so far no damage. Add throttle in turns or it will head for for the ground. You need a still day outside. Lots of video on YouTube; owner vids will give you a better idea than company promotions. I concur with Neil, cut power when it is about to hit something.

4 of 5 Endless entertainment Monday, May 04, 2009
A Customer from Sterling Heights, MI
I bought this as a gift for my 5 year old nephew. When the box arrived I was very surprised at the size of it. Much larger than I anticipated as I hadn't paid attention to the dimensions in the specs. NOT A MINI RC! So it might not be suited for tight spaces. My young nephew quickly got the hang of flying it and would not put it down for hours (except when it needed to recharge). I felt that it was a great tool to teach him some patience (while charging) with a super fun reward it the end. He loves it!

5 of 5 Lots of fun Sunday, April 26, 2009
Neil from San Jose, CA
I bought this for my nephew on his 12th birthday, and boy did he enjoy flying this one. It seems to be delicate and getting it charged was a little tedious. But it was great once we started flying it. This was our first experience with a R/C flying toy but it was easy to operate. We had several 1 to 2 min flights after a single charge. And it survived several falls without any damage. Just make sure that you stop powering as soon as its about to hit something. Although it is recommended to fly indoors we had more fun flying it outdoors. I would definitely recommend this to first time flyers! The reviews here helped me choose the product and I hope mine helps you :)

4 of 5 Alot of Fun Wednesday, April 22, 2009
Pat from Camden NY
My daughter has had alot of fun with this. Our dog chases it all over. We used it outside and I was amazed how far it flew. It is a little hard to control, but if you have enough space to fly it it works well.

1 of 5 Big Mistake Sunday, February 22, 2009
A Customer from California
This product looks great, but performs poorly. It is very FRAGILE. Item specifies it is to only be flown indoors. Unless you live in a 3000 sqft open warehouse, you will not enjoy this product. It does not fly well. It does not maneuver well. The only thing it does well is consume batteries. Run away from this item and save your money.

5 of 5 Best remote flying toy ever!!!!! Tuesday, January 06, 2009
A Customer from Fremont, NY
I bought this for my 10 year old son for Christmas and he loves it! He has had other remote control flying toys before - but they never held up and was always disappointed. The Wow Wee Dragonfly flies in small spaces - has easy take offs and landings - and even holds up to numerous crashes!By far the best remote toy I have ever purchased! Well worth the money!!!! Thank you!!!!

5 of 5 wow wee dragonfly cool toy Monday, January 05, 2009
A Customer from Ft Lauderdale, FL
I bought this as a christmas present for my 11 year old son and he had so much fun with. It comes with replacement wings which is great because they are kind of fragile. Overall a great toy for a reasonable price. I received very quickly after I placed order.

Great fun right out of the box, no disappointments. Kids loved it and so did the adults. Great value. Didnt need much room. Works outdoors only if no wind. Well worth the money! Thanks!

4 of 5 tricky to start but then everything worthwhile tak Wednesday, December 24, 2008
GP from Seattle, WA
I chose this as a Christmas present for my 14-year old son and was worried about the frustration level at first; we've tried RC helicopters and ultimately gave up because they spend most of their time crashing... the dragonfly design was more successful, it's a sleek design mix of organic and techno but a bit on the flimsy side with all the thin membranes it needs to stay aloft, I'm glad the kit comes with extra parts because I can see this is going to get banged around a little when the weather gets better and we can take it outdoors.

5 of 5 IT'S A HIT Tuesday, December 23, 2008
A Customer from Crystal Lake IL
This was a gift for my 13 year old nephew. I just got an e-mail from my brother saying he has a dragonfly buzzing all over the house and my nephew LOVES it. However, I can't really respond regarding the scale 1-5 questions, since I'm not the end user. But it sounds like a thumbs up!

1 of 5 Piece of junk Tuesday, December 23, 2008
A Customer from New York, NY
Sorry - It looks fancy and makes a lot of noise flapping its wings but all it does is fly for 3 seconds and then just crashes into the wall or floor. Don't waste your money.

5 of 5 WOW WEE Dragonfly Flying Robot/ Green Monday, December 22, 2008
David F Kroft from Lansing, MI
I received this just the other day, and I just had to try it out. I belong to this flying club, and we also have inside flying in a school Gym. Well, the weather was bad, and it was inside flying night! So I took my New 'WOW WEE Dragonfly Flying Robot/ Green' to the gym. I had charged the batteries the night before, so I was ready to go. I held out my arm lightly holding my little 'bug.' Started the his little wings flapping, and gave it a toss. Ohh! It flew! GREAT! It went all the way to the rafters! I had to slow it a little, to bring him down. Yeah, that's better now give it a little left, Ohh yeah.. I was having so much fun I hadn't been watching the time. As I see it wasn't doing what I was commanding. I let up on the throttle, gave it another left turn. Gave it all the throttle it had left and it landed almost at my feet. I think I have found another friend!

5 of 5 Close to natural flying Wednesday, December 17, 2008
A Customer from buffalo grove, il
This is a fun product for the family. My both kids seem not to get enough of it. Although this is not exactly a natural dragon fly, it gives a glimpse of the flying and how complex natural dragon flying is. I am not sure if the design and materials can be any better for this price. Personally this definitely is value for the money. Pros: fun Cons: none.

5 of 5 GREAT FUN Thursday, September 18, 2008
Chris from Moreno Valley, Ca
This thing is COOL! It's a little tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it you'll have a blast. I have a gas r/c truck, which I love, but I find myself flying the Dragonfly in my spare time. Plus it comes in 2 different frequencies, how much better can it get? Thanks BUY.COM!

4 of 5 Fun product but feels like very delicate Monday, March 24, 2008
Amit Bansal from Quincy,MA
I bought it to show to my 3 yr. old son , he gets very excited watching it fly but when it comes down on the floor he wants to catch it and I fear that it might break anytime. It is very light weight and the wings are made of polythene, though they have given an extra pair of wings but I think they are not going to last long :-) Overall a fun product but not very durable.

4 of 5 wow wee dragonfly Wednesday, March 12, 2008
david w. osedach from san diego
this is definetely a high tech product; it flies like a bird as opposed to using an overhead rotor like a helicopter. it is delicate and the operating instructions aren't very clear. to charge the unit for flight you must use your 6 alkaline batteries rather than a mains charge, this is pricey. on the other hand take it to the park and the kids come out of the wood work to see it. i bought to fly around the bio tech company i work at. they got a big kick out of it.

2 of 5 The product always seems to have charging issues? Tuesday, March 11, 2008
Rob from Federal Way, WA
This product is a bit of a disappointment...it never seems to hold a charge and when it does, flight time is very limited. Flight controls are sketchy at best. It did coax me to get the "flight bug" though and I have since progressed to indoor helicopters, so I guess the purchase wasn't a total loss. I can not recommend this product though...don't waste your money.

5 of 5 Wow Tuesday, March 04, 2008
hna from Reno, NV
I bought the dragonflies for my grandkids. The eight year old and I had a video conference so that he could show me how it flies. I was surprised how big it was. The boy said that it was easy to operate and could fly in the house. He then showed me by flying it around his bedroom. My son said it works better outside where there is more room. Both rate the WoWWee a 5. I'm think of getting one for myself

3 of 5 Great Product, but too life like! Monday, February 18, 2008
Bruce McNamara from Lawrenceville GA
I picked up two of these for my sons (13 & 15 yrs. old) in the hopes that they would enjoy learning about how insects fly (and they looked fun). They worked great. Not soaring, but floating on the winds, dragonflies work on slight air currents and their new toys slowly lifted. After 10 mins of charging these from their remote controllers, then setting them to flight for 1-2 min flights, they had these flying over the second floor of my house. Unfortunately we missed the fine print. DONT FLY OUTDOORS. A nearby hawk noticed that one of these monster-sized snacks and swooped down to take it away for a meal of styrofoam and plastic. We chased the bird, but my poor son was heartbroken, when he realized what was left was going to be a mass of beads and tape. I love the product but I can't fly it near any birds of prey, and here in Georgia, they are everywhere.
