The author of the #1 "New York Times" bestsellers "She''s Come Undone, I Know This Much Is True," and "The Hour I First Believed" offers a Christmas novella that promises to be a holiday bestseller.

Annotation:
In his first foray into holiday literature, Wally Lamb depicts a 1960s Christmas in his fictional haven of Three Rivers, Connecticut. The action swirls around ten-year-old Felix Funicello, cousin to beach blanket starlet Annette Funicello, as he frantically tries to keep up with distractions such as chores, schoolwork, and duties at his family's lunch counter while his love life officially gets under way. The dual arrival of a substitute teacher from Quebec and a Russian exchange student open Felix's eyes to the wider world and promise to make this a Christmas he will never forget.

Praise
"Sweet and old-fashioned, Lamb's Christmas yarn will appeal to readers wistful for more innocent days." - Kristine Huntley 10/15/2009

Author Bio
Wally Lamb
Both of Wally Lamb's first two novels (SHE'S COME UNDONE, and I KNOW THIS MUCH IS TRUE) were chosen for the Oprah Book Club, and became huge bestsellers, selling millions of copies. Lamb is known for his ability to fuse melodrama, tragedy, and sensational hardships with a defiant sense of humor, and an uplifting message of preference and redemption. In addition to his own writing, Lamb taught writing at a female prison in Connecticut, and edited two anthologies of his students' work (COULDN'T KEEP IT TO MYSELF, and I'LL FLY AWAY).
