3 of 5 image quality good, does not support FTP Saturday, July 04, 2009 Don from Houston, TX
I cannot speak extensively about this camera because I found it did not fulfill my needs. The description of the item says that it supports FTP, however it does not. Many cameras have the ability to upload images and / or video to an FTP server, but this one does not. The combination of letters "FTP" do not appear anywhere in the manual. As my project required this FTP functionality, the camera was unsuitable for my needs. Logging into the camera the first time is tricky. It is not configured to pull a DHCP address by default. Instead you have to manually configure your TCP/IP protocol on your machine, then use the provided utility to adjust the camera's network parameters. The OCX file needed to view the image is incompatible with Firefox and MSIE 8, but it will work in MSIE 8's "compatibility mode." The image quality is good, it appears to be very sharp.
