5 of 5 Win 7 is better than expected Monday, November 16, 2009

I installed this on my oldest slowest AMD3000\1GB RAM. It runs better and faster than the dated XP install on the machine on a separate partition. So far it has been a dream come true. Only a few irritating changes, like the missing Quick Launch Toolbar.
This is the one to buy. Back up all your data to an external and do a clean install with this update disc. Then reinstall all your programs.I was surprised that so many of the old programs work flawless on 7. Looks like they finally got it right.
Comes with both 32&64 bit discs..installed the 32 bit version for compatability with my older programs. Was this review helpful?  
5 of 5 Finally...A great and robust OS from Microsoft Monday, November 16, 2009

I upgraded from Vista 64-bit and Windows 7 resolved many of my nagging issues. Vista would only recognize 4 of my 5 monitors, would frequently have issues with my two printers. Windows 7 resolved both these issues. It also fixed an older version of QuickBooks that would not run under Vista. I love it! Was this review helpful?
