4 of 5 Maybe not the best movie, but still good Tuesday, December 14, 1999 A Viewer from Gainesville,fl
I argee with most people and say this movie was not that great. But it did have one redeeming quality. It has one of the best 5.1 Dolby Digital soundtracks ever made. If you have a good home theater system that can take advantage of the Dolby Digital, then you should definitely check this movie out. Barry Sonnefield (director) fully exploited the 5.1 channels and literally brought you into every scene. Was this review helpful?

The WWW was a fun and exciting movie. I go to the movies to be simply entertained. I find that some people place to much into a simple movie. Let loose and enjoy yourself. I loved it. It was silly, funny and exciting. There was a little adventure and suspense. If you was a classic go to the Met. If you want to let loose and have a gaint laugh to the movies. 5 of 5 Overall worth watching and buying! Sunday, December 12, 1999 Gregg Webster from Englewood Colorado
I don't think all those people that wrote bad reviews remember the original WWW. It was Corn, Pure Cord. Robert Conrad was not a 'great actor'. So when going in to this movie you have to ask yourself how much you should expect. True it is no 'gone with the wind' but it is not suppose to be. If you go in wanting another ID4 or Will Smith action movie you've got it. I found the plot actually more than any of the original TV series ever attained. I found it was a good foundation for why our two heroes were together. The 'bad guy' was a good bad guy. The girls were cute. The gadgets were good. What more do you want form this kind of movie? If you like action and some comedy then I say watch it! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Its a fun movie! Saturday, December 04, 1999 Andrew from Centreville, VA
I don't understand why so many people didn't like this movie. I thought it was fun to watch, and I was entertained by it. Granted the plot was not the most complex or believable, but I still had a good time. Isn't that the point anyway? Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 A pretty darn good movie! Friday, December 03, 1999 Joel from Phila, PA
What were the people who gave this a bad review smokin' when they watched this movie?!?! Sure it wasn't the best movie ever, but it was entertaining. Isn't that what a movie is supposed to be? I thought so...I liked and recommend it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Pretty good movie Friday, December 03, 1999 A Viewer from NH
I dont care what anyone else thinks, but I thought that this movie was actually pretty good. Even if it did have a weak plot, I still thought that they did a damn good job making it. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Jim West at his best! Wednesday, December 01, 1999 A Viewer from Billings, MT
After watching many of the old Mr. West episodes, I must say Will Smith played the Western version of James Bond quite well. This movie was never meant to be realistic or have a great plot. Not too many Bond movies are either, but they have their own standing and reputation. To get the ladies and have fun fighting evil. A classic with the new twist. Both Will Smith and Kevin Clein made their characters live like never before. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Fantastic effects and acting otherwise campy. Wednesday, December 01, 1999 ltlwilly from Dallas, TX
It's tough for me to criticize such art! I like great special effects. This film has the special effects as its only purpose, it seems. The comedy even was great but most of the adults with me used the word 'stupid' in describing the movie. They are not Scifi fans and a movie that moves this fast and furious leaves them in the dust. Star Wars latest only survived this criticism because of the continued saga relating in a 100 different ways to characters we know and either love or love to hate and the many pauses to establish the feelings/emotions. This Jim West and Artimus Gordon are really tough to tie in with the TV series, right down to the difference in their basic values. Its that 50's 60's TV value thing. I just enjoyed the effects and the 'Making of Wild Wild West' as much if not more, but that's the techy in me. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Wild Wild West? Indeed! Tuesday, November 30, 1999 Andrew from Centreville, VA
This movie has great action, great special effects, even decent acting. The story itself leaves a bit to be desired, but the comedy acting of Will Smith makes up for any shortcomings in that respect. Its a fun film, and I was entertained. After all, isn't that the whole point of a movie? To entertain us? Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Adventure Movie of the Summer Monday, November 29, 1999 arlene.fincher from San Jose, cA

4 of 5 It is a movie... somewhat entertaining Friday, November 26, 1999 A Viewer from Cadillac, MI
If you are looking for this film to drip with academy awards then you will be sadly mistaken. It is not a film for critique to the standards you would a critique Shakespeare in Love or Gods and Monsters. I found it entertaining and comical to say the least. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Fun Thursday, November 25, 1999 Steve T. from San Dimas Ca.
This was for the pure fun of going to the movies. If you wanted realism, go see Privite Ryan.I was a fan of Wild Wild West and loved this one.The acting was silly, it was ment to be. The plot was far fetched and the Evil Doctors were Evil to the max. What more did you expect! Was this review helpful?

If you want to see this movie, rent it. Don't send Warner Bros the message that this movie is worth owning because it isn't. They completely lost touch with the original (except the high-science aspects) and the plot was all over the road. The good: Ke Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 I LIKED IT! Friday, November 19, 1999 Sgreenmoor from Cincinnati Ohio
The movie was fun. You go to the movies too get away from everyday stress. You are not suppose to be so serious. If so, then why go to the movies. Wild Wild West was better than the mess that is shown on television for free. I would see it again. I just brought it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 This movie ruled Monday, November 15, 1999 Sundar from Gainesville, FL
This Movie was true to Will Smith's Style of Comedy. I agree that the plot was less than simple, but the plot WASN'T the main part of this movie. There were many 'hidden' innuendos that were hilarious. If you thought this movie sucked, you are obviously not smart enough to be watching it. Intelligent people will pick up on the subtleties, which is what made 'THE AVENGERS' equally as funny. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Childlike entertaining Thursday, November 11, 1999 momonemike from antioch,ca
As as adult, I can say that my first impression was that of disappointment. I had anticipated a more serious charactor built around the television
version. In that aspect the movie failed big time.
My children on the otherhand, loved it. They found Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Go bouncing through the Wild Wild West Monday, November 08, 1999 Briana from Seattle, Wa
This movie was really good. It's a comedy that will keep you laughing as the characters get into precarious situations and come out of them with a joke. Lots of crossdressing for fun and a couple of gunslingers as well as neat inventions. This movie gets two thumbs up from me. Was this review helpful?

I THOUGHT THE MOVIE 'WILD WILD WEST' WAS A EXCELLENT REMAKE OF THE TV SERIES, THE GADGETS THEY HAD WERE EVEN CRAZIER IN SOME SCENES. I THOUGHT THE ACTORS CHOSEN FOR THIS MOVIE DID A EXCELLENT JOB, BOTH THE GOOD GUYS AND THE BAD. PLUS IT HAD ALOT OF COMEDY. IN ALL THIS MOVIE WAS GREAT IN MY OPINION, SPECIAL EFFECTS AND STUNTS WERE GREAT THAT'S WHY I GIVE THIS MOVIE '***'. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Fun for all, and all for fun Monday, November 08, 1999 A Viewer from Eureka, CA
Why do you go see a movie? We certainly don't go to write a scathing review. My family and I go to be entertained, and this one did not disappoint. If the only criteria we used was the other reviews, I probably wouldn't have gone to see this film. But, fortunately for us, my family and I have already seen it, and thought it was a fun film. No, we didn't expect James Bond, just James West, and we weren't disappointed. There are some fun twists, enough excitement for most, and it still left us hanging a few times. A good time for all in our family, and no appologies! I certainly had a fun time with this one! Was this review helpful?

I was a big fan of The Wild Wild West TV series, and wasn't disappointed by this movie. I have liked all the Will Smith movies that I have seen, but this was one of my favorites. I think that this movie was really funny and the special effects were very good!! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Fun and entertaining Monday, November 01, 1999 V. Tobias from Chicago, IL
If you never watched the Wild, Wild, West series, or are unfamiliar with old west technology, you might have a problem with this movie. If you loved the series, you'll love the movie. The movie incorporates all the elements of the series and presents them on the big screen. It's fun to watch and as entertaining as the series. Was this review helpful?

W3, that's Wild Wild West for those who don't know, was one of the best movies of the summer. Will Smith is the best actor who can do any type of film. Drama, action, comedy... you name it, Will kicks its butt! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 A real review... Thursday, October 28, 1999 Avi from Seattle, WA
Let's face it, a filmmaker who can take a story about a gigantic robotic tarantula in the old west AND make it believable knows what he's doing. All of the effects for the movie were possible for the time. (I tried to discredit them BOTH times I saw the Was this review helpful?

This movie was by far one of the BEST that I've seen. Not only did this movie justify the years of Wild Wild West episodes, the characters of Jim West and Artemis were played BEAUTIFULLY. The special effects were wonderful. If it were not for this movie, practically the whole summer would have sucked at the box office. Was this review helpful?
