I used this on my 42" Plasma HDTV, and the picture looks great! I am very satisfied, and would recommend upgrading to component. The picture clarity and color are better. Also... make sure you look into a component switch if you don't have enough inputs on your tv. I was full from my HD cable box and my xbox360.
