5 of 5 The best radar detector. Wednesday, April 22, 2009 A Customer from Cleveland, Ohio
I bought 2 of them, 1 for my brother and 1 for me. This radar detector works as advertised. It does not have the annoying beeps. Very bright display. Detects from very far distence. I recommand this product. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Works well for the price Wednesday, March 25, 2009 A Customer from Central Oregon
The unit works well for what it is and price paid. It is definitely
not the type of unit you would purchase if you are going to push speed limits real hard. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 best for the money Thursday, February 19, 2009 A Customer from High Point, NC
This detector does extremely well at the price point it is in. If you use the city 1 or 2 mode, it eliminates much of the false reads you can get in city driving. In highway mode, it does extremely well for a budget detector. The range of detection is good, providing you are not way over the limit, to slow your speed to keep from being detected. I highly recommend this detector for budget minded buyers. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 For the price? GREAT deal. Thursday, January 08, 2009 Martin from Gastonia, North Carolina
This was a gift for my husband and he says, so far it does what it is supposed to do.
Alert the driver.
I can't see spending hundred's of dollars when this works just as well as the higher priced detectors.
Looked at many of them, and some of them just had too many other options that one may not use.
I say, this was well worth it.
And as far as Buy.com? Wonderful transaction and will be doing business with them again.
Shipment was very fast, and check-out was easy.
Way to go Buy.com!! Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great detector at a great price! Saturday, September 06, 2008 Scott from IL
Think I may have avoided a ticket the day after I got it, so it was a GREAT deal for me! :-) I use one of those sticky pads on the dash and just set it up there and take it down when I park, don't have to deal with bracket. When in town works really good in City 2 mode which disables X band...although still get a few "false" alarms. Really nice that it retains all settings when powered on and off. All in all a great little detector...actually had to order a second one for me because my wife kept mine after she "borrowed" it once! Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Well worth the money! Sunday, July 20, 2008 Another Customer from Fort Worth, Texas
Simple to program and use if you follow the instruction booklet. Good range on all bands of police radar. I had to manually bend the mounting bracket to give me a truly horizontal reception angle, but that wasn't hard to do. I'm not a serious lead-foot, but this unit has already paid for itself about five times over, and I've only had it a couple of weeks.
Worth the investment if you're looking for a good detector on the cheap. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 it worksand it is cheap Sunday, June 08, 2008 A Customer from Michigan
I mounted it in my car the moment I received it. After several driving in the local and highway driving, I found it sensitive enough to pick up signals. Once I was going uphills and it started to beep more and more intensively, but I could see nothing. After I reached the top, a police patrol car was coming right in front of me. Good investment! 5 of 5 great performance for price, keeps settings when t Sunday, May 25, 2008 oingo456 from phoenix, az
The XTR-330 is surprisingly good, especially for the price. It retains settings when turned off, so you don't have to set it up all over every time you start your car. A few times it has lost settings. I love the ability to disable X band completely in "city II mode" - it eliminated all false alarms. It has picked up the very weak aperature radar used for photo radar vans far in advance - more so than my Escort 8500 X50. The voice is gimmicky and annoying but you can turn it off, as you can with all of the self-test startup noises so you don't have to listen to insane beeping every time you start up. Programming modes is confusing - you will need the manual. Mounting bracket could be sturdier. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 WHISTLER XTR-330 Radar Wednesday, February 27, 2008 A Customer from Charlotte, NC

5 of 5 Excellent value - decent performance Tuesday, January 22, 2008 A Customer from Bloomington, IN
In THIS price range, there is probably no better detector. It is superior to the 140 and the 220 in that it detects POP. I've used it now for 2 months, and I am often surprised at the range. It's no Valentine One, and it is not as good as a pro-78 or xtr-690, but it is better than probably anything you'll get from Cobra, and it is almost as good as the cheapest models from Bel. Good for driving 15 MPH over the posted speed limit -not more. It will give you half a mile of warning on K and KA. Not bad for this price.
Has voice alerts too, which can be nice. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 pretty good - bracket is so so Monday, October 01, 2007 A Customer from massachusetts
the only issue i have is the bracket...i have a vette and the windshield angle is flatter than most...so the detector sits on the
on the dashboard rather than against the window....i may try to bend the bracket to see it is any better. related...the small button on the side to release the detector from the bracket is a bit too small...my old detector has a nice big button on the top...which made it easy to remove from the bracket.
