This Whistler just snaps into place on the windshield turn it on and you're ready to go. The fact that you don't need to have the wire dangling down across the dashboard is definately a plus. Switching from city to highway is just a push of a button. Was this review helpful?

The radar detector works well. I charge it over night in the car and I never run out of power. I thought I had a problem with the charger, but now I think it was a bumpy road shaking the batteries loose. Haven't had a problem in weeks. Was this review helpful?

I've decided to purchase this so I can know when to watch my speed and slow down. So far, it has lived up to my expectations. In the town where I live, it has detected X, K, and Ka bands, Pulse, and VG-2 alerts. I like the fact that it is cordless, and you can program it to the length you want it to stay on or you can manually shut it off when you park. The included chargeable batteries take a long time to charge so, when they're low, I recharge them overnight (more than 8 hours). There's no sense of spending $200 or more for a radar/laser detector when this one just does the job. Was this review helpful?
