WOW, when I got this unit in and hooked it up I was suddenly transported back to my childhood. My dad had an intercom set back in the 60's and this one works and sounds exactly like it. While it brought back nostalgia, I have to say I was disappointed that the unit has poor audio quality and one way communications - "Hello who's there - Over" - "It's the mail carrier - Over". This is a product overdue for a modern overhaul. In today's age of blue tooth and cell phones this intercom is way too old school.
