Great HDD for laptop or as external. I bought it together with an enclosure and is is one of the fastest drives I've ever used in and out of the laptop. Also ultra compact and ultra light as you would expect - pocket sized. I plan on buying the 500gb next ... I wish the price was lower - it's still much more expensive than a similar drive in a full 3.5 size but otherwise a phenomenal piece of technology. Highly Recommended!!!

filled my old 120 GB drive and needed a new one. This drive I popped in my laptop right out of the box inserted the factory disc image restore disc(vital part of success) and back in business!!!!

Works flawlessly,, actually quieter than the original drive and the computer seems to run faster, ( could be all the empty space IDK) Overall great price, free shipping (was fast anyway 2 days from order until receipt) nice quiet drive

I upgraded the stock 80GB hard drive in the Asus EEE Box PC. It seems to like it just fine. The computer seems to run slightly faster since this is 7200RPM and the stock is 5400RPM and it has a larger cache. It doesn't seem to put out more heat than the stock even though I would think it should. I have not noticed it making a lot of noise either. It's very quiet even when seeking. I am running it with XP home as a storage, media, and web server.

When looking for a new drive, I figured I probably wouldn't need more than about 100GB. So I looked around to see what I could find. Most of the drives I looked at varied between $40 and $70 bucks. I came across this drive and was sold. For just a little more money, it offers a larger cache and double the drive space I was looking for. It is very quiet, seems to be built well and the warranty on this drive is outstanding. This was the first time I have purchased 2.5" replacement drive, but have bought my share of 3.5" drives and Western Digital has never let me down. I've only had one of their drives start go out on me and replacement was a breeze. At this price, I'm thinking about purchasing another to put in my PS3.

Swapped out a 100gb 5400rpm Hitachi from a Lenovo 3000 N100. Easy set up with Acronis Imaging Software. Drive works fast and runs cool compared to old drive. Also bought Coolmax Sata enclosure for old drive. Works Great!

I shall say the shippment, and the item are both good enough. However, the discription for this item is not very close to its real condition. Buy.com shows me pictures of this item with origin retail box, never mentions it is actually in bulk condition untill I received this item. Buy.com likes Word Games very much, all things they tell you are over-optimistic.

I used to have a 5400rpm, 80 GB hard drive in my Vista laptop. After a year and a half of new software, and gunking up the hard drive, I had only 10 GB of space left, which made my laptop pretty slow. I popped this 7200rpm, 320 GB hard drive in, and reinstalled from the factory image. WHAT A HUGE DIFFERENCE! No problems at all swapping it out. It boots up in half the time it did when new with the smaller hard drive. Now I have 4x as much space, which is room enough for two partitions (one for programs/OS, and one for data only). Also, I have noticed about 50% longer battery life, and noticeably cooler operation when sitting on my lap. Operates noticeably quieter.

Great and cheap upgrade with my reburbished laptop. I partitioned the drive into three partitions: OS, Data, and Backup. I now can re-image the laptop in minutes whenever needed without having to worry about backing up my data because they're all on the Data partition.
