FYI, although the description does not say so, this is a bare drive. There is no cable nor booklet. Wish it would have said this, so that I could have ordered a $10 cable to use with this. Also, one of the images above shows this in a retail box, but it does not ship this way. Still an ok price, but the effective price is actually higher as you need a SATA and power cable. I set this hard drive up to use as an external esata drive to back up my computers. So far it's working great and exceeding my expectations. I use it with an Antec MX-1 USB SATA actively cooled hard drive enclosure and it stays cool. I've done several backup and restore operations and just switch to the USB connection on the computers without the esata function. Buy.com sent the order quickly. Was this review helpful?
