The unit maps in immediately, as a system disk drive, when the USB 2.0 cable is inserted. Data transfer speed is quick and the unit operates with very little noise. Good buy!

My experience with earlier versions of external drives was that they were hard to set up and operate. This one operated right out of the box with no problems. Includes a free trial of Memeo software ($30 to purchase) which backs up seamlessly--nothing to configure, set or struggle with.

Ease of installation: It was easy to install and no glitches. Included software: I didn't care for the backup software included and preferred to use my own backup procedures. Satisfaction: I was completely satisfied with the drive.
