This is my third drive. I bought two for work and this is for my laptop. It does everything I need and the price is great. Just plug it in and go. I've read people don't like the short cable it comes with. This hasn't been a problem for me. I actually like that the cable doesn't have to be wound up to stow. Most computers have easy access to USB ports. I've moved this drive between at least 5 different desktops and a couple laptops, without any issues.

I've used drives with aluminum cases in the past, and really appreciate the quietness, look and feel of the WD passport drives. They are so small and easy to slip in your computer case or pocket.

Best two features: 1. Size 2. Power provided through USB cable Worst: 1. I bought the red colored drive and the side that looks to be white in color is actually more like a pink. I'm not sure if the other colors are the same way, but it definitely bugged me. Overall: I recommend the product.

This little gem is so easy to use since you don't have to plug it in to an electrical outlet. Just use the USB port. This feature also makes it possible to use in foreign countries since you don't have to be concerned about voltages. I loaded about 40G of photos on to it at one time and noticed very little in the way of heating. This is in contrast to my regular hard drive which heats rather alarmingly, even when not being actively accessed. I love my little red book! As for Buy.com, as usual they had the product at my door in almost no time, in perfect condition. A great place to shop - A++++!
