 WELCOME BACK KOTTER is fondly remembered by TV fans who grew up in the 1970s, and this release presents viewers with a much-requested opportunity to revel in Gabe Kotter's (Gabe Kaplan) adventures once again. WELCOME BACK KOTTER begins with Kotter returning to the school where he was once a pupil--James Buchanan High. Kotter is there to teach the remedial class that he once belonged to, but four students--Vinnie Barbarino (John Travolta), Freddie "Boom-Boom" Washington (Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs), Juan Epstein (Robert Hegyes), and Arnold Horshack (Ron Palillo)--are a constant thorn in his side. However, Kotter proves to be an inspirational and tolerant teacher, and is soon dispensing a brand of wit and wisdom based on Gabe Kaplan's real-life experiences.
