Webroot is the worst antivirus package i have ever used. And i have one of the most recent versions (2008). It would not detect nor delete some very malignant trojans, error messages often appeared and it used up so much of the pc's running power that it just became better not to run it at all. Worst still, when i contacted webroot to inform them of the problems, they didn't bother replying. Even worst still when i told them how bad their product was and that i'd never recommend it to a friend, they still didn't bother to reply. And now! I've just received an email from Webroot saying "click to write a review". So i clicked, and what should appear!? A message saying that i'd already written a glowing review; a review full of praise for their product, written by someone called "kellie" (not my name) who had supposedly given them 5 stars... and it wouldn't let me change nor resubmit so that i could actually tell the truth! Hence me writing this review. Terrible product, terrible company. Don't waste your time or money.

I was about to buy the software since its on sale and was wondering why it was so cheap (suspected old version of S/W). Called Webroot and they couldnt tell me if its old or new version but strongly suggested buying from them if I wanted the latest (what a suprise). Called Buy.com and they say its version 5.0 and the current version is 6.1 I believe (according to CNET). No where on the website does it address this. Had to call (and couldnt find a phone number very easily either. If you dont care if its not te latest, fine. the S/W version should be noted on the site in my opinion.

My experiences are the same as other reviewers: this antispy/antivirus combination finds and quarantines junk that Norton and McAfee (the huge memory-hogs that gum up the works)leave in your computer. McAfee required so much computer space that my 3GB desktop kept freezing up to the point where I would have to reboot five times a day; I thought I just had to get a new computer to solve the problem. As a last ditch effort, I thought I would try Webroot. The day after I scraped the McAfee Internet Security off my computer's shoes and installed Webroot it went back to being fast and reliable - not a single freeze. And the program notifies me in a little pop-up every time a virus is found and quarantined, good to know so you can guess which website or attachment it might have come from. Look no further - this is the solution.

This is by far the most reliable protection software I have ever used for the PC. It finds things that others miss. Easy to install and use, even for beginners. One of the big pluses of this product is that it is not a system resource hog! Other products seem to really impact the performance of your system. I like the Webroot product so much that I buy it in the 3 user, 3 year versions. Try it. You'll see what I mean! ;)

I ordered this software, mainly because I had it before and I needed to renew. This version was so much better then the previous one I had. The sheilds work amazing! The previous one had expired several months back, but without updates it still only had 1-2 items found when I ran the new build. Terrific software, worth every penny. Really enjoy the idea of the free online backup of precious pictures.

I have used this product before and it seems to work the best of all the antivirus programs that I have used I would highly recommend this product

Recently installed to replace expiring McAfee Antivirus. Found 47 spyware on my Laptop and 18 spyware malware on my Desktop that McAfee had not found. Webroot Antivirus is an excellent choice I would make again.

I have tried Norton, McAfee and other smaller products. I was not satisfied at all. McAfee and Norton used to eat up my memory and my mind too. Not until i found Webroot, i am not even bothered to do a regular check. i was surprised to find that even some of the most reliable sites had ads that sent spy cookies, torjans. Thanks to webroot. I have already recommended all my family members and friends to buy and they are also expressed the same satisfaction. Thanks to Buy.com i got 3 user license at damn cheap price. 1 for my laptop and desktop and i for my parents in india.

I am very pleased with this product. It accomplishes the tasks as required. I would purchase or renew this product again if needed.
