I've used SpySweeper for years. I've also used CA, AVG, Norton, and Nod32. I've tested across 4+ computers. SpySweeper for me has caught things the others have missed. The only con is that it takes a little longer to load. (on my old 2001 Gateway laptop) For a newer system this is not a problem.

I am a long time user of Spy Sweeper, at least the spyware segment.... While annoying, I have become tolerant of the slow boot process that Spy Sweeper creates. Rather than renew my subscription, I figured I'd save some money and just "buy" a new version. The previously installed version was more up to date than the new one. The good news; Spy Sweeper downloads took care of that in an instant. Once I get the rebate, this will be yet another wonderful Buy.com deal.

The 3 license pack of Webroot's Spysweeper with anti virus is a great buy on a top of the line product. The anti-spyware portion of the product is among the best on the market. The anti-virus is competent, but I prefer to augment this protection with a second product. Spysweeper does an excellent job of removing infections present when installed and a competent (but not exhaustive) job of preventing new spyware installations. Most noticable "down-side" of the product is a slow loading and definition update at start-up but the wait it, in my opinion, worth it.

I am very pleased that this program allows you to do other things as it runs. My previous experience with other programs left me frustrated as I waited and waited, and waited... before I could start working. -------------I do have one complaint. The program failed to quarantine the troj/Gida-A virus, but did continue to find it. When I contacted customer service, the only response was the automatic one that they had received my inquiry. After several days of the program finding this virus, and failing to eliminate it, I finally found (in the log) the name of the file in which the virus was residing. I erased that file, (careful about that!) and have had no further trouble.

my notebook is effected with lot of popups and executing anon programs/exe files and spysweeper is protecting me alot. And it is worth taking it.

I've used Spy Sweeper for several years and it's kept me out of trouble, even if Consumer Reports only rates it #9 among antispyware programs. Buy it for the antispyware,forget the antivirus part - it's woefully inadequate.

For the most part, this product works great and takes care of mostspyware - it is the best there is! However, occassionally, I've noticed it uses up much more cpu that I like and sometimes the cpu reaches 100% - this becomes a runaway process that I have to kill and restart. But, for the protection it provides it's still well worth it and I would choose it over any of the more famous competitors.

This product has the power to overtake Norton, it works faster and is easer to than Norton. The price is much better. 2 thumbs up.

I first used this when it came bundled with MSN software. I find that it captures more spyware than even the anti-virus/spyware bundles. It has worked well for me for a couple of years. It's worth the price. Buy.com had a very good rebate for this purchase.

I like Spysweeper and it has been highly rated for the past few years. The three license deal for free (after rebate) is a really good deal. I don't like rebates but I get to something for free, I can live with the extra work. Since SpySweeper included anti virus, I can get rid of Norton anti-virus, plus you only need to do one scan. I haven't seen the reviews on how effective the anti-virus is. The one thing that I don't like about Spysweeper is how intrusive it is for the operator. I pops up more than I like. I am the administrator for a small church office (4 computers) and I would like to get these issues sent to me, not have the users deal with the pop-up notices. These are small issues. This is a good deal.

Spy Sweeper is the top of the line product to keep spyware off your computer. I am not real familiar with Sophos Antivirus but so far it has also been a good program. With the rabates that are offered, this is a deal that you cannot let pass. I recommend Spy Sweeper and I always highly recommend Buy.com. This is the only company that I trust for my computer needs.

I have previously used Spysweeper and found it very effective in detecting spyware and other problematic files on my hard drive. I have found the same reliability with this product. It removes them effortlessly and updates automatically without slowing me down. I will once in a while run Spybo "search and destroy" (freeware) just to see if it catches anything that Spysweeper does not. Spysweeper catches everything! This version included an anti-virus program and I have been very pleased.

Good product, especially for FAR. Seems to bog down the boot process and general performance on Windows XP machine with 1GB ram.

I ordered Webroot's Spysweeper with anti-virus on a Wednesday and the following day it was on my doorstep at no extra cost to me. I am pleased with this product and the service that I have always received from Buy.com. I recommend their prices and service.
