5 of 5 Weber Gas Grill S-310 Monday, May 11, 2009 A Customer from Austin, TX
Great grill, easy to put together, and cooks very fast. The left side of the grill gets a little hotter than the right but I am very pleased with the grill and feel it is a very good value. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent Grill, But Wish it was 100% Stainless Tuesday, July 10, 2007 Stuar from Saratoga, CA
This is a well designed grill. Assembly isn't too difficult, and even if you're meticulous like me, it takes less than 3 hours to assemble. We bought the natural gas model and it took 6 weeks to get it due to a backlog at the factory.
The body is cast aluminum with a stainless hood, shelves, and front doors. The frame is porcelain enameled steel which will hold up well, but stainless would be ideal for longevity. The bottom of the burner box is a porcelain enameled slide out shelf that funnels drippings into a ~5"x7" disposable pan. Line this with foil and cleanup is a breeze.
Three stainless burners run across the grill, and stainless flavorizor bars cover them completely and are set about 1-1/2" below the stainless grates. Sustained flare-ups are non-existent so you don't need to worry about burning your food. Even heat over the most of the 507 square inches with the left side a bit warmer due to the small burner tube that lights the rear two burners. Very pleased- worth the cost. The stainless that is used is the good stainless- 304; non-magnetic. Was this review helpful?

Great grill, easy to put together, replaced our 20 year old Genesis. Works much better than our antique! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 A great grill! Monday, May 28, 2007 A Customer from Woodinville, WA
I just bought the Weber S310 to complement my large charcoal grill. I still like charcoal better for taste, but gas is great when you don't want to hassle with coals and all that, such as when cooking a quick dinner on a weeknight. Anyways... onto the grill itself....
I chose the Weber because it's top-quality. Sure, there are cheaper grills of the same size, but they all felt flimsy. Just push down on one of the side-shelves and you'll see what I mean. In contrast, the Weber uses a solid welded steel frame that extends under the side tables.
I didn't get the model 320 with side burner because I didn't see much use for it. The burner is kind of small and I can't see it being useful for much more than heating a small pot of beans or BBQ sauce.
Delivery was easy. UPS called when they had it in and scheduled delivery for the next business day, within the promised 3-hour window.
Assembly was also easy. It took about 2 hours altogether, and, unless you screw it up, the grill bolts together VERY SOLIDLY, with no rattles, misalignment, etc. It's well-made.
It starts within a few seconds and grills beautifully. It gets hot quickly, within a few minutes, and maintains an even temperature. I'm still getting used to cooking on it, and I know I'll like it.
It's also easy to clean, being 100 percent stainless, grates included. (Hint: for the grate, get the "China Brush," which essentially has a large, swappable steel brillo pad on the end. Let the grill get hot and then use the brush to take all the burned-on stuff off with just a few strokes.)
Further endorsement: Consumer Reports just rated the Weber Genesis 300-series at the top of its testing!
Oh - and if you buy the grill between 5/25 and 7/5 and register on Weber.com, you can get the cover (a $60 list price) for free.
