The artists who participated in the event included Bette Midler, Diana Ross, Cyndi Lauper, Willie Nelson, Tina Turner, Bob Dylan, and Waylon Jennings, among many others. The song itself was written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Ritchie, and this moving documentary special is narrated by Jane Fonda.
