Dubiously mullet-free and sporting a shaggy hairdo that recalls Keith Urban on the cover, Cyrus stays in a surprisingly traditional-minded vein for much of the record, even collaborating with legendary performers George Jones and Loretta Lynn on the rustic "Country Music Has the Blues." Other highlights include the rock-tinged "Stand" (featuring an appearance by Miley) and the self-mockingly nostalgic "I Want My Mullet Back," rounding out an enjoyable album that will appeal to Cyrus's long-time fans. |
