I had the old version of this shaver and wore it out. I tried a Braun 3 series, but there was no comparison. This Wahl shaver shaves closer than the Braun by a long shot. While it does lack some features of a Braun (washable, smaller power cord), the close shave more than makes up for it! An excellent buy! Was this review helpful?

I fell in love with Wahl razors over a decade ago but was forced to use other brands like Remington for several years as Wahl razors became less available in retail stores. I was so dissapointed with my last Remington razors and the high cost of replacement parts that I had to turn to the Internet to find another Wahl razor. Since these razors last so long and come with three different replacement heads out of the box they are without question the best value going. The three screens offer three different levels of closeness, but I always end up using all three screens out of convenience. The razor is a simple design but feels exceptionally smooth while providing a very close shave. I also don't seem to get shaving bumps from this razor as much as others. The side cutter also provides a close shave and seems to work much better than on some competing models. I highly recommend this razor for the customer seeking simplicity, quality and value.
