these are ok. the glasses definately make it easier to watch videos on the ipod. however, although it brings the screen closer, it seems to highlight the resolution problems. i like the fact that everything moves, the front or screen tilts up and down, the ear buds are bendable to fit multiple ear hights, and each eye has it's own focus. if you watch a lot of video on the ipod, i recommend it. for the casual or light watcher, don't bother. watch it on the computer or the ps3. I bought these to travel with. They work well and after some adjustment the picture is clear. The only downside is that they wear down the battery on my ipod pretty fast and after a while become somewhat uncomfortable. As always buy.com was awesome. Was this review helpful?

At $300 these things were ridiculously priced when they first hit the market. Now at $62 they're an absolute steal. If you love the idea of an iPod video, but can't stand the size of the screen, these are for you. They have descent resolution, and are easy to operate. Powered by the iPod, installation is a breeze: plug in, set the video out on your iPod settings, and here comes your movie. Integrated headphones are removable, allowing you to replace them with your own preferred headset/headphones. Supposedly these will support 3D content, but I haven't been able to find any.
If the price is right (Less than 70 dollars) grab a pair. They can't be beat. Was this review helpful?

I was really worried when I ordered these since I own an iPod Classic. I couldn't find anything or anyone who said that it does or does not work with the classic. They work great and are well worth the money. I also really like the detachable ear phone, I prefer to use my own. Was this review helpful?

i like gadgets and the vuzix sure qualifies. it works as advertised... i thought this would be useful while on the airplane... however, after using it...i think i'll look very weird wearing this thing in public... so...just another interesting gadget that really isn't useful for me... These were a great buy at the special price. They work exactly as advertised. With a little bit of support from Vuzix, and some expermenting I was able to rip some 3D DVDs and load them on my Ipod nano 3G.
A nice touch is the ability to power the IPOD and glasses from an external USB power source. Any USB to mini-USB cable works for this, and plugs into the IPOD cable.
As great as these are, I imagine that the 640x480 displays are even more impressive. I look forward to these products eventually having a full HD-3D capability in the future. Was this review helpful?

This item will not produce a video image using the newer Ipod Classic (6th generation). If you own an Ipod Classic you may already know that the "video out" function will not work unless you buy special cables specific to the Ipod Classic (6th generation). There is not way to hook up the glasses even if you have the special cable. Do not buy this product unless you have an older video Ipod. Was this review helpful?

After getting over looking like Cyclops, the Vuzix Video iWear for the iPod is amazing. Picture and sound are crystal clear, even better when lights are dimmed, but not necessary. Looks like you're watching on a big screen TV. Takes 10 seconds from opening the box to using the device. A perfect air travel accessory and certainly worth the price. Was this review helpful?
