I bought this and what a mistake it was! The quality was questionable and the cost (purchase and on-going monthly costs) is more than 12 times (yes, the competing product, with better features only costs you $40 for a YEAR!, that's for the product and the monthly service fee for an entire year!) I am glad that a buddy of mine told me about it. The better product is offered by Magicjack.com.

I HAVE WINDOWS VISTA,SO IT WAS A LITTLE MORE COMPLICATED TO INSTALL: YOU PLUG IN THE PHONE,BRING -UP "COMPUTER",OPPOSITE CLICK ON THE DRIVE IT'S IN(MINE IS H:),AND CLICK ON RUN AS REMOVABLE/PORTABLE DRIVE,OPPOSITE CLICK:RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR,THEN,CLICK AUTODWN FILE,,OPPOSITE CLICK AUTODWN,CHOOSE COMPATIBILITY,CHOOSE WINDOWS 2000,CLOSE,AND CLICK ON AUTODWN,IT SHOULD LOAD THEN ,MAKE A SORTCUT TO DESKTOP,FOR EASY LOADING IN FUTURE.....WHEWWWW ! The Vonage V-phone works out very well. Two things. 1. You only get the $50 rebate if you're a new customer. 2. You cannot have your Vonage phone number set to your V-phone and your regular house phone at the same time. Vonage makes it very easy to switch back and forth between the V-phone and your regular phone. You simply log into your Vonage account and then go to add on features. The V-phone works great. I just wish you could use both and not have to worry about switching them back and forth. The conversation is very clear and people actually did not know I was not on my regular phone. Always a plus.
