This collection of skate-punk and related genres, which appears under the name of extreme skateboard superman Tony Hawk, is both a homage to and a soundtrack for 'boarding. Punk mainstays NOFX's "What's the Matter With Parents Today?" neatly encapsulates the perennial problem of kids with overly hip parents ("Mom and dad/I think you ought to quit smoking so much pot/and hanging with my friends"), while Pennywise's chunky "Who's On Your Side" is a slice of teen alienation for the ages. Comment on social and world unrest is the order of the day with many of the bands featured here. Inimitable progressive hip-hoppers Outkast speed-rap their way through the topical "B.O.B. (Bombs Over Baghdad)," and nu-metal kings Papa Roach's "Infest" is a thrashing poke in the eye to authority figures the world over.
