| | Ah, memories. Remember the first time you heard Quiet Riot's "Cum On Feel The Noize"? Or what about Ratt's "Round And Round"? Sure you do. Well, they're included here along with many other Heavy Metal classics from the decadent decade known as the 80's. This is an excellent collection for the veteran rocker who doesn't want to buy each individual album, or the novice headbanger looking for a great representation of hard rock.
What makes this album special is the variety of styles: there is great "hair band pop metal" (Europe's "The Final Countdown", Warrant's "Cherry Pie", Winger's "Seventeen"), power ballads (Poison's "Every Rose Has It's Thorn", Cinderella's "Nobody's Fool"), southern rock (38 Special's "Hold On Loosely), straight-ahead classic Metal (Judas Priest's "You Got Another Thing Coming"), and glam rock (Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It", Alice Cooper's "Poison"). There are 16 tracks designed to get the joint jumpin'. All in all, this album is highly recommended to anyone who wants a dose of rock n' roll from when things were taken a little less seriously.
