I have now had my TV for 1 year and have not had any problems. The TV was delivered timely, other than the box noting it was refurbished it looked new to me. For the price this is a very good TV to buy.

First. let me say I'll amend this if I find the warranty help satisfactory or really bad. I got this on Friday, hooked it up Friday evening and was happy as can be. Good picture, good sound, easy to hookup and use. Saurday morning, I turned it on and everything is flourescent green. The picture is there, but color is horrible. Checked both the HDMI and Component inputs and both were the same. Reset the color, no change. Pulled the power for 1/2 hour, no change. I think it's something in the color control circuitry, because that's the only control that doesn't seem to affect the hideous green color. The other controls seem to give me varying shades of green. Naturally, Visio tech help is only available M-F so I'll have to wait for Monday to call this in. If they fix it here, I'll be happy. But if I have to ship this thing to them to get it fixed, I'm going to be ticked off. I will update this then.

I am new to the HD world, and have a limited budget. I did a lot of research on entry level HDTV's and chose this model based on good specs and great overall reviews. In a word, this TV is Excellent. It has a great picture, good sound, and plenty of inputs for all of your fun accessories. Even my wife, not a TV watcher, thinks it's great. My only criticism is that the initial channel tuning can only be done using the auto scan feature. This makes it difficult to weed out channels that I do not want, while being able to preview them. You can remove channels manually, but you cannot see what you are removing as you go.

I've had this TV for over a year now, and I've been completely satisfied that I got my moneys worth. Excellent 1080i picture and most importantly, no dead pixels. The box that the TV arrived in was a little beat up from shipping, but the TV itself looked like the day it came off the manufacturing line. It looked and smelled brand new, and I can find no evidence of remanufacturing. Lay to rest any doubts you have about Buy.com refurbished electronics, because they're good as new, but without the "new" price tag.

I priced this everywhere possible and the Buy.com price for this recertified product was unbeatable. I saved $250 over Costco factoring in shipping, tax and a discount I received for using my new Buy.com Visa. I purchased it on 4/14. It arrived quickly in perfect condition, like brand new. Once we figured out the box, the ease of removal was so clever, pop the plastic thingie and lift off the box! I hooked it up to my Comcast HD digital box and the picture came on in perfect color, clarity, etc. ... no need for any adjustments whatsoever. But within 2 hours, the picture smeared over in a glaze of shimmering red. After a minute or 2 it disappeared. I ignored this thinking it was going through some sort of auto adjustment. But it continued and finally I called Vizio on 4/30. The good news is the people at Vizio are absolutely spectacular. They were very helpful in trying a few different ways to clear up the issue. Most of the time, the picture is perfect. Only 2 to 3 times a day the dreaded red screen appears and of course our fear is it will only get worse. But Vizio (so far) has come through brilliantly. I just had my 3rd conversation about the problem with a Supervisor there and someone is coming to replace a technical "thingie" which he is sure will solve the problem. If not, my 90 warranty begins again on the day they repair it and if it doesn't solve the problem, they will replace the TV. I'm not at all upset because I knew going in that this was a recertified product and that "stuff happens". I still saved a lot of money and in the end I'll have a great TV with a crystal clear picture. I could not ask for better service from Vizio. In the meantime, I did buy the Extended Warranty from Buy.com to protect us over the next couple of years. Even with that purchase, I'm still $150 ahead of buying it at Costco. Even with this problem, it's not been a hassle and I would buy another recertified product from Buy.com in a heartbeat.

Like many other customers, I was hesitant to purchase a refurbished electronic product. However, after reading all the reviews, I decided to go ahead and I have been more than pleasantly surprised with the product. I don't know much about TVs, or electronics in general, so I relied on the advice of my boyfriend who has a 42" Vizio. His is great, and mine is even better because I got such a good deal on it! The entire process of purchasing this TV was so smooth, setup was easy, and the TV itself looks absolutely awesome. I did some research online to determine what settings/adjustments to make. Overall, I'm a very happy customer and highly recommend purchasing this TV.

Well I waited one month before writing my review. It's been great thus far, I'm very pleased. (Hope I don't jinx my self, hah.) As many others have said, it arrived in what seems like brand new condition. I even had to take this thin film layer off of it and the parts were in sealed bags. All of it's original contents were there, and set up was very easy. Up and running in minutes. The menu's are very easy to navigate and learn. The Xbox 360 via VGA cables looks great and it's very bright, even from side to side. DVD's and HD broadcast look awesome. It has many inputs of all types. It has digital audio out for my Sony surround sound system, so DVD's are in true Dolby Digital sound. It's 2 HDMI's + 2 component sets are more than enough to cover additional equipment for room to expand or add other video game systems or whatever. A friend of mine has had the 32" version of this model for over a year, and has had no trouble. I got the 2-year $35 warranty on this one just in case. All in all, should this thing hold up for a good amount of time, I'm totally satisfied. $600 with free shipping is great!

After reading all the reviews that had been written at the time I, like a lot of others, decided to step up and grab one of these TVs. I must say I was NOT disappointed! For the price I don't think you could do a lot better. The picture on this thing is amazing. It arrived right on time and Fedex was great to work with. I actually had to call them and set up a different delivery date - process was painless! The hardest thing I had to go through throughout this whole ordeal was getting the TV out of the box and that was nothing. Setup was so easy that I had the set installed and was watching it within 10 minutes! This is a great TV and if it becomes available again don't hesitate as it is well worth the money!!

Thanks for shipping fast, most i bought from Buy.com cause they shipping fast. Visio works perfect, you could not know it is recertified, box and package like new. LCD picture quality look nice, sound quality is clear and good. Only remote control look cheap one but it not affect too much.

First one came quality was not so good compared to my New Vizio. I called and return was little hassle they wanted me to call Vizio. They did exchange after some pushing back. I am happy with one they sent picture is as good as new.

Much like everyone else, I've been eyeing various flat panel televisions for a very long time before actually commtting to the sale. The Vizio VX37L 37" Widescreen LCD TV that I purchased is a reconditioned unit. It was packed very well upon arrival with no evidence of blemishes, scratches or marks. Right out of the box you can easily understand its operation whic requires very little setup. All-in-all, this is a terrific buy for a quality product.

The Vizio VX37L LCD TV arrived about a week after I ordered it. It was exactly as described. The recertified unit was in like new condition (no blemishes, scratches etc.) Setup was easy. Picture and sound quality are great. The QAM tuner found the HDTV and digital stations from my Comcast cable without a set top box. I saved $150 plus the cost of sales tax and shipping (about $200 total) by purchasing through Buy.com versus Costco. The only negative I experienced was that although Buy.com advertised free shipping on this item. During the sales transaction, it defaults to the priceier 3-day shipping option. If you don't notice it, you will get charged for shipping! I noticed it after completing the first transaction. I quickly cancelled that and reordered, changing the shipping type to free budget.

I purchased this tv on March 29, arrived May 11. Worked for the evening and then the colors became distorted. Eventhing was green. Called Vizio on May 12 and they arranged for a repair company to do an in-home repair. Local repair company called me on the 16th and came out to do the repair on the 21st. They replaced the input circuit board and a cable attached to that board. Everything has been working perfectly for a week now. Picture is great and the price was amazing. I didn't realize how good my Xbox360 could look.

I swear this TV was brand new. still had the plastic on everything, mint condition. I think these are factory recertified in the sense that they never left the factory, but were repaired before they were ever sold (my guess). great picture and performance- have it mounted in my bedroom. great deal- thanks buy.com.

Great value for the money but performance wise, it does not compare to my Panasonic plasma. We use it in the master bedroom and it's perfect for that purpose...

I bought this unit refurbed which scared me a little, but the price was right. Shipping was very fast and the TV looks like it's never been touched before. The only notice of use was the remote which was a little dirty. I wouldn't say the picture is better than my Samsung, but it's 1/3 the price so I got more than I expected. I now recommend Vizio for anyone looking for a great priced, good quality LCD.

Like many others, except for the word recertify on the box, the unit looks news with all accessory in unopened box. Even the TV box is unopened. Working great sofar. QAM received my unscramble cable. One word for those who think there might a problem with the tuner. Try a cable with a longer pin. As always, Buy.com has not disappointing me.

This is the first refurbished TV that I have purchased and could not be happier. It was very easy to set up and I have not had any problems with it. As long as you are not expecting absolute, top of the line performance, you will be very happy with this set.

I received the Vizio 37" recertified TV and was thrilled to see that it arrived in the original packaging and appeared to be a new unit. I hung it on the wall and plugged it in and the tv functions as new. I am very pleased with the purchase.

The first tv that I received did not work. It would turn on but the video would go out after about 30 minutes. You could turn the tv off and on again for it to work but it would only be good for a few minutes. Vizio support was very difficult to deal with. I was told that Buy.com was not an official distributor and they had no responsibility. Buy.com support was no help in getting assistance with Vizio. After many phone calls it was straightened out and took about 10 days to get a replacement. I am very happy with the 2nd tv as the picture looks great and the unit looks like new. Overall I would say this is a good buy if you are willing to risk the time and aggravation should you receive a defective unit.

Purchased this TV and was very excited about the price and over all good reviews of the TV. After purchasing, due to problems with buy.com, it took me right at a month before I received my TV. I opened the box and the TV looked great, not a single scratch anywhere on the TV. Then I plugged it in to see how that looked, the TV was broken and would only display fuzzy lines everywhere! I would recommend spending the extra money and picking up a new TV, rather than deal with the problems associated with a refurbished.

This Flat screen TV made my day!! It came a few days late but was worth it! AND; it was like "Spanking brand NEW", I set it up in like 2 mins, the instructions were so straight forward my 8 yr old son was actually doing it alone! Vizio is a great product and I recommend it to all. JP Lithonia GA.

I've never bought a recertified TV before, but this one surprised me. It looks quite new and works perfectly. Easy set-up and the color quality is spectacular. Very happy with this. Looking for another one.

These TVs will not last. All the reviews must be written after just buying TV. I was drawn to these TVs also because of the price and we have 3 in the family(2-37LCD and a 42-plasma. They all have had problems one is in the garbage, another is on its way and the other likes to shut off by it self. Also, do expect any at all from the company the will not do anything for you. If you do buy Vizio or already have get a warranty fast because you will need it in about 1 to 2 years of use. Remember you get what you pay for. There are much better choices on this site, spend the little extra now so you do have to later.

I am vey pleased with this TV. I was initially concerned about buying a "reconditioned" product as I have been disappointed with other purchases in the past. The reconditioning (whatever that means) process may not catch subtle or intermittant issues that prompted the original purchaser to return the item, and then there is no return option; you must deal directly with the manufacturer for warranty service. In this case, there is in home warranty performance (90 days), but it needs to be sent in to the manufacturer if the tech is unable to repair onsite. Like others have stated in reviews, the ONLY indication I could find that this tv was reconditioned was black permanent marker over the warranty wording on the outside of the box. Everything was still sealed inside and appeared completely untouched. No dead pixels or other issues whatsoever. I read some references somewhere online that the 37" model may be discontinued, so perhaps these sets are unsold stock sent back to the manufacturer? I do not believe vizio's zero dead(bright) pixel guarantee applies to reconditioned items, but it was not a problem for me. From reading other reviews on this site it has not been an issue for others. Picture quality is quite good, consistent with the cnet review. This is not a high end HDTV, but the picture quality is much closer to that of a high end set than it is to that of a low end set. Like any tv you need to spend some time setting the brightness, contrast and color because all TVs ship with terrible defaults (check cnet for tutorials). Functionally, it is great. The only gripe is the way the menus are set up, but it is rare to need to get into them. And I wish it had a swivel base (the base is fixed, no tile or swivel). Buy.com shipped it out almost immediately, but apparently it went on the wrong truck or something; it started off in dallas, went to CA, then back to dallas and then on to houston for delivery! So it took longer than expected to receive it.

Dont spend $1000 or $1500 or even $2000 on a bigger name TV. This TV, once you make the download.com adjustments is every bit as clear and good as the bigger name higher priced TVs. Easy to use, easy to set up, tons of outputs, I have a DVD Recorder, PS2, 2 satellite feeds, receiver, all attached and still have more to spare. The HD looks fantastic, better than it did at a local store, I dont see how it could look better.

After comparing LCD TVs for a year then shopping for the best price for another year I decided on the recertified Vizio from Buy.com. I have purchased both a 30" and a 37" Visio this way and can say to date that these have been an excellent investment. Both units have sharp images, excellent sound and amazing reception on a Terk antenna system. I have recommended to family and friends that they look into the value of Vizio thru Buy.com.

I've only had the Vizio 37" LCD TV for a few weeks but I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The product shipped and arrived on time with no damage and I liked that I could track its movement so I could be home when it was delivered. You cannot tell it was reconditioned, it looked like new with what looked like new packaging and books. Set up is easy and the picture is good. I have it connected to digital cable without a cable box, so I only have a few HD channels and I use the internal tuner. Normal channels look good and the HD is excellent. I have heard some say the sound is muddy or not good, but I think it is fine. In fact, it has more volume range than my old TV. All in all, I love the TV and would do it all over again.

I've had problems getting this TV delivered for 2 months. Hasn't all been Buy.com's fault, but it still took a hella long time to ship. That is my only real complaint. Blacks are surprisingly good for the price. Default picture is pretty bad, but once you get it tweaked it's fine. Check AVS Forum for some decent settings. Audio is nothing to brag about, but isn't noticeably awful. About what you would expect. Buy a couple external speakers. No dead pixels on mine yet, so hooray! Clean HD; SD is SD so whatever. No problems with the TV itself, just the retailers.

The TV looks new. Set up is easy. I also connected my PC to TV using RGB cable which comes with it and works great. Although overall performance is good I have a problem with this TV. It is the synchronization between voice and picture. I am seeing this issue when I am watching HD channels. I hooked my cox cable directly to the TV tuner. I don't have a set up box. Some HD channels seems to have delay in voice from picture which is annoying. I didnot try connecting an antenna and see if the problem still exists. Otherwise TV is just a great value.

This TV is a great value for the money - no question about it. When it first arrived it didn't display colors properly - I mean, it was a serious problem. Some colors were fine and some were terribly blurred - it almost looked like static or as if you were looking at the screen through night vision goggles. I called Visio as instructed and they couldn't help me - they ended up sending a repair guy out to replace a circuit board in the TV. (He said he had seen the same issue in a number of these TVs.) Now that the circuit board has been replaced, the TV looks great, but it was a real drag waiting through the 2 week process of contacting Visio, getting the name of a local repair person, waiting for parts to come in, scheduling an appointment, etc. My one other minor complaint is that to my ears, the sound isn't that great - it sounds kind of "thin" compared to what I would expect even from built in TV speakers. Nevertheless, despite these issues, I am pleased overall.

I recieved the TV in the orinal packaging and it was like opening a new unit. Everything was there and the setup only took a few minutes. I powered it on holding my fingures crossed since this was the first purchase of a refurb I had ever made. Well, I have the TV for over a month now using DirecTV as the source and it is working perfectly. For the price, the picture is very good and I am now thinking of a second for another room.

I have to agree with all the other glowing reviews. I've never owned any kind of widescreen TV but like every other American, always wanted one and when I saw this deal, I just couldn't pass it up. The TV arrived in good time, was in excellent condition, setup was a breeze, the picture and sound quality are very good, no dead pixels, everything is great. I don't regret one bit buying a recertified product especially when it is of such high quality. Thanks!

Shipping: Shipping (free) from buy.com took about a week. I was tracking the package from when it left the Dallas area and I thought it strange that it shipped to Los Angeles and then to somewhere in KS and then finally to Tulsa, OK...where I am. I figured by the time I got it ...it would be in pretty ruff condition barely in working order. Turns out the box was in pretty nice condition and there were no visible signs of shipping abuse....good job FedEx!! First Use: I received this 37" Vizio at work...so first thing I did was unpack it an plug it into my work computer as a monitor (just used my existing flat panel LCD monitor RGB/VGA cable and power cord). Picture was great once I adjusted the resolution to match the native 720 resolution of the Vizio. I would easily recommend this to anyone who wants to use as a 37" monitor. Lines and images from my pc were clear and crisp (as long as you're using the same resolution as your LCD native resolution). Didn't seem pixely...which suprised me. Picture Quality: Great picture when watching DVDs through component...or X-box through HDMI. I was impressed. The Digital tuner works great...pretty quick channel change response as compared to some other plasma and LCD units I've checked out. This unit seems to have an exceptionally bright screen. During the day or night...no issues seeing the picture for sure. Almost seems too bright to me sometimes. Sound: Sound is passable. As good as on any other TV set (tube, LCD, or plasma) I've ever had or seen. I don't think you can expect to be blown away or impressed by any other set's sound output either. Things that make you go...huh?? Something that struck me as odd when I unpacked the unit was that the back and sides of lcd housing are a bright white color. What....??? The face panel is glossy black and the rest is white? Then i come back and look at the pictures on buy .com ....and sure enough...it's supposed to be white. Anyway...I'll get over that for sure. Another thing that made me wonder is the blinding bright blue screen you get when there's no signal to the unit. You could tan in front of this unit if you wanted to. It's seriously like a small tanning bed. I wish there were a way to change that default "no signal" color. Menus and controls: I certainly can't complain. They did a pretty decent job on the menus and the remote. Everything is pretty easy to control. The one thing I would add if I could would be the ability to define digital channels on. On this unit (and every other that I've seen w/ a digital tuner...panasonic, philips, etc) you are forced to accept only the digital channels that the auto-scan can find. I know there were 2 other digital channels that I'm right on the fringe of...sometimes they are available and other times not. It would be nice to define them so I could at least watch them if they are coming in at the time I happen to skip over them. Overall....I'm 5 out of 5 satisfied w/ this unit. There are a few little quirks that I would change...but I think most other units out there have the same quirks....so I'm over it.

Long story short, the TV was great but I paid for the 3-5 day shipping option, and needless to say it took much longer than that. At one point I was told that it was lost by fed ex. If I had to do it again, I would just go to walmart and buy this years newer model for a hundred bucks more and skip all the headaches.

Initially I was little worried to order a reconditioned product, but the product came as a brand new packed except te sticker which stated as reconditioned. It has amazing picture quality. Its an awesome deal and it works better than other leading brands. Most importantly it has 2 hdmi inputs and also PIP which is very useful in using my computer and watching a movie simultaneously. Also the multiple zoom modes helps in watching the HD at full screen modes with the same clarity. Its a very impressive deal at unbelievable price.

I took a chance on refurdbished and could not be more satisfied. $600 bucks no shipping or tax. Saved probalbly $230 over Sams Club. The box it came in was a little rough but when I opened it the TV look brand new with the film protection still on it. The only thing I can think that it is refurbished is it had to be repackaged. I put it in my Bedroom and I think I like it better than my 46 inch Samsung that I paid a premium for about a year ago.

This is a superb product and a wonderful value. Not to sound like everybody else, but it is hard to believe that this is a refurbished product. The television looks and responds like a brand new LCD. The picture is incredible compared to my 42 inch Samsung. I am completely satisfied with my purchase and would recommend Vizio to my friends.

Value-can't pass up a savings of 200.00 Costco sold it for more. Yes I was skeptical about buying a recertified tv. When it came it looked brand new. After adjusting the color for my area, the set is on par with my LG, Sony and Samsung. I am so pleased I read all the reviews about this set, because that is what satisfied my skepticism. I am sorry I did not go this route with my other flat screens, if it was possible. I don't need any more flat screens, but I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I bought this TV a few weeks ago after spending about a month looking up TVs. I had been eye-balling this brand at Wal-Mart for quite some time but never bit. I finally bought a Viewsonic because I found a good deal at a store but returned it the next day because the color and sound was not good at all. I finally found this deal and encouraged by all the positive reviews, I decided it would be a good buy. I got messed up about the "free shipping" and accidentally bought expedited shipping but buy.com refunded me $10. The TV came in a decent amount of time and it was in amazing condition. There is not a thing wrong with the TV itself, not even a dead pixel. The remote did arrive DOA but a replacement is on its way. I would highly recommend this TV. It has great picture and it is really worth every penny. I am using it primarily with standard cable and the picture is better than my old regular TV. I also bought a HD indoor antenna (amplified) and I get all the local channels in crystal clear HD. I also plan on buying the extended 5-year warranty because the refurbished only comes with a 90 day warranty.

Placed order on March 25 (Tuesday) and received TV on April 3 (Thursday). Not bad for free shipping. As all the other reviews state, TV looks new. Although I havent spent a great time examining every inch of it, nothing that would lead you to believe that it wasn't brand new or pretty darn close to it. Picture quality is solid (ESPECIALLY for a $590 tv)--the factory settings were more than adequate, and I havent had to tweak anything yet. Set-up took about 2 minutes. Great deal--dont hesitate to get this one. (Warning: Ive only had the tv for 24 hours, so in case something goes wrong Ill come back to "update" this review)
