4 of 5 good for the price Thursday, October 22, 2009
A Customer from fairfax va

I got it for 40 bucks. Its a good quality device(for that price ofcourse). the phones are not that good but i use my skullcandy phones and sound is awesome. the navigation between folders is somewhat slow and takes time getting used to(especially slow when u load to the max of its 8 gb capacity). plus there are the other features that u probably will not use.

1 of 5 Hardly used, screen gone dead! Friday, June 26, 2009
A Customer from Charlotte, NC
Got the unit in Jan '09. I guess I got what I paid for. At first, pleasantly surprised with the features and the audio quality. Video is only a teaser. The UI is cumbersome. The data transfer rate is slow but bearable. Used the unit may be for a total of 10 times. After the most recent recharging, the screen went totally dead. Now it is no more than a paper weight. There are a number of other brands now available in the same price range. I wish I waited!

3 of 5 Nice price, annoying features Thursday, June 25, 2009
A Customer from Durham, NC
The price is good, and I had no trouble loading music on it. But maneuvering thru the menu is a nightmare and the one-page "manual" that came in the box and loaded in PDF on the player is USELESS. There appears to be no way to move easily from folder to folder, instead you have to go thru the first foler, clicking ever-so-slowly thru each song in that folder to get to the next folder. This drives me INSANE. I'm really glad it was cheap, because it will probably end up being used as a flash drive. I bought it to use in my car, but I will wreck trying to change a song.

2 of 5 frustrating interface and performance Monday, June 22, 2009
Captain Ray from Buchanan, NY
Good price for an 8 gig unit, but not worth it. The UI is awful, navigating like DOS or UNIX, not human like with terms like ROOT, and "/" plus the time it takes to load a directory (folder) takes forever, and ofter "times out", bouncing you back to the last song you were listenting to - and you have to punch in the navigation sequence again, running against the clock. It does not support PLAYLISTS, and seems to power down after 15 min or so. I plan to buy a different one (TBD) and use this as a USB Key, not MP3.

1 of 5 VERY DIFF TO LOAD UP/NOT AN APPLE Wednesday, June 17, 2009
Dan C. from Schenectady, NY
I had this unit for aprox 3 days and was unable to get it to load up any music, let alone a video file. If you think it is going to be similar to an ipod think again, sent mine back for a refund to buy.com. Will stay with Apple from now on and not venture out

3 of 5 Poor user interface but good value for money Tuesday, June 16, 2009
A Customer from New York, NY
The device works but there are drawbacks. First, the interface is not intuitive at all. It is difficult to navigate through music folders and between modes. Second, the device does not allow sub-folders which is very inconvenient for a music library, and you cannot see file names wider than the screen. Third, when charging the device via USB using an FM transmitter in the car it stops playing as it thinks it is connecting to a computer. That said, it is cheap and it does work once you figure out the work arounds. Buy it if you don't care about ease of use and want a larger capacity flash player for not a lot of money.

1 of 5 Impossible to use Saturday, June 13, 2009
A Customer from California
I've tried for hours to drag and drop music files to the folder that Visual Land suggests users create for Music files. It's impossible to add additional files to the folder IF you don't add them at the same time. Files seem to randomly add to Voice, Record, or Music. It makes no sense.

1 of 5 Suboptimal product, Unfinished work.... Thursday, June 04, 2009
A Customer from Owensboro, KY
I received this product 2 days ago. Was very enthusiastic to check out its features. But was highly disappointed. It is not user friendly at all. There was no instruction manual for this product at all. The 2 main source of irritation was that ----1 the volume control doesn't work, you are forced to listen high volume, and it gave me a headache.----2 You cannot switch between categories, viz music to video to radio to photo without having to switch off the device and restart it. This is veryy annoying. It appears the developers got the product out in a hurry without proper quality control checks. Over all a substandard product, that does not live up to its promises.

Kerri from Sunbury, PA
I am NOT a technical person but was able to take this out of the box and use it without any problems or guess work. The sound quality is fantastic; I haven't downloaded any videos yet. Buy this one with confidence... It's a great little mp3 player for the money!

4 of 5 easy to use but nothing fansy. Friday, April 10, 2009
A Customer from Chino hills ca
This little thing does everything but the feel & touch is not as solid as other top brand and the graphic is not as fansy as ipod. No problem doing everything it promised and is ease to use. It is small and slim for carry out and do what it suppose to do.

3 of 5 GO for it for the features and price Friday, April 10, 2009
chaitu from fairfax VA
It's a good deal for the price. i got it for 40bucks. the head phones are a slight disappointment. and navigating folders while playing is slow but you cant ask for more in a cheap player. sound was excellent when i used my Sennheiser MX 55 earbuds. so the player is good and unlike other player in that range its a good quality plastic and steel build.comes with a silicon cover and a no nonsense case. havent tried the video option. never think i will use it on such a small screen. but all in all a feature rich player with i-pod classic looks at unbeatable price.

4 of 5 Great for the price Friday, April 10, 2009
Gail from Benton, AR
Good: Great sound, FM radio is awesome, Excellent value for the money. Battery life is excellent, easy to recharge Bad: Can't scroll through music, documentation is sketchy. Although the description says it comes with multiple skins, it only comes with one. Overall: Can't beat it for price!

5 of 5 Good player for the price Thursday, April 09, 2009
A Customer from so cal
only thing i didnt like was that if you put in more than 999 songs, only 999 will show up, you can make folders and put in 999 songs in each folder but when u randomize the playlist, it will only play random songs in one folder, it wont randomly jump into another folder and play a song from there

5 of 5 Good Radio Wednesday, April 01, 2009
Vernon Horn from Washington, DC
I bought this mainly for the FM radio, and that works very well. It has very good, clear reception of Washington, DC public radio stations all around town. I haven't used the other features, however. This exterior of this unit is clearly an ipod nano knock off, but the controls are very different. They are not quite as intuitive, and a bit cheesier. Overall, I would buy it again.

5 of 5 Great Value Wednesday, April 01, 2009
A Customer from Chicago,IL
I was very skeptical, because it was too cheap to be respectable.I was wrong. this is really a very well made product, full of features that, even the "trendy" ones don't have. One has to play with it to figure out all that it can do for you. Once you learn ,then, you marvell it.

1 of 5 Perhaps just a bad one..... Wednesday, January 28, 2009
DB from Milwaukee, WI
Based on prior reviews, this seems to be a good unit. I returned it within one day because when activating the movie mode, the entire unit would reboot itself. From my limited use: --the unit hangs off a USB adapter from the computer - not very secure and over time, looks like a problem becoming too loose --Cumbersome menu - easier to use once you get the hang of it, far from convenient

5 of 5 sweet deal, great toy Tuesday, January 20, 2009
chewmefun from sussex county, nj
Tasty features like the overpriced FryPod and more but I saved over $100 buying this player instead. Comes with everything. Easy to use Plug N Play happiness. Nice little earphone thingies fit great. This MP3/MP4 etcetera Player is my newest most favorite toy. It does music, video, radio and records. LOVE IT.

4 of 5 VERY NICE MP3 Thursday, January 15, 2009
Kelly from Green Bay, WI
Very good piece of equipment for the price. Wonderful picture and sound. Easy to download music. Still working on the pics part, haven't figured that out yet. Only negative is the USB adapter, it just leaves the unit hanging there, not very secure. Good buy for what you get with this MP3.

4 of 5 Good, very basic. Wednesday, January 14, 2009
Austin from Washington DC
This is a very basic mp3 player. I got it because it was on an incredible sale. It works well, and plays all of my files. It doesn't have any bells and whistles to speak of, and doesn't have some of the intuitive user friendly navigation features that consumers used to iPods or Creative media players may be used to. A cool plus: it has it's own built in (not too great, but for the price, hey!) speaker. If you don't have phones plugged in you'll still get sound.

5 of 5 Great Basic MP3 Player Saturday, January 03, 2009
A Customer from Ft Huachuca AZ
This is my first MP3 player and it is great for the money it is easy to use. I have not tryed the video player but it is easy to load Pic and music. The instructions are loaed on it and do not come in the box witch took me a wile to figure out. Over all I love it. P.S. Do not try to make sub folders, you can make all the folders you want but subfolders lock it up. It tells you this in the instructions (if you read them).
