Purchased card for use in digital camera. In second use my card's data became corrupted. A data recovery service declared that the card had physical damage, and therefore data recovery was impossible.
Unsure if the damage was my fault, but the card never left my camera in the transition from good to corrupted, and my camera was never jolted, subjected to extremes of temperatures, and experienced nothing damaging during the time when I discovered the card corrupted. Therefore, I believe that the card was defective from the start. Was this review helpful?

I guess you get what you pay for. This inexpensive memory certainly acts like it. I receive many errors writing and reading from the memory. This is bad news when you're trying to take pictures as they just get corrupted. Even using it to just copy data resulted in errors. Now I have to take the time and trouble to return it. received the compact flash card and it failed immediately in my digital camera. tried to return it to buy.com, but because I had completed the rebate and cut out the upc, buy.com said i had not returned package in original packaging and refused to replace it. fortunately, vikings's customer support is much better and they will replace it. hopefully, it the new one will work better.
