5 of 5 Good brand, great price, no complaints Wednesday, October 12, 2005
John from Chicago, IL

CF cards just keep getting cheaper & cheaper and bigger & bigger. For the price of this card, don't waste any more time shopping around and just buy it if you need it. For me, it works fine in my digital camera and my USB CF reader.

5 of 5 Great card, Excellent price Monday, May 16, 2005
Matt from Upstate NY
This is my third Viking compact flash card. I've never had a problem with any of them. I've also gotten rebates on all three and I've had no problems with the rebates on the first two (I just mailed in the third, but I'm confident that there will be no trouble there either). It's not the fastest CF card going, but it works great in my Canon A85 and my USB 2.0 CF reader!

5 of 5 Very satisfied after 2 years of use Thursday, April 28, 2005
A Customer from Minneapolis, MN
After price shopping similar products by Sandisk and others, I went ahead with this 256MB card for my Nikon4500 because it was the lowest priced product around. My initial trepidation was unfounded - I have been using this for almost two years now and have not had any issues with it. Recording is as quick on this card as the Sandisk 16MB card that came with the camera; at least I could not make out any difference. It can hold over 300 pictures at average resolution and I've had no issues transferring pictures from the card to my PC either via the camera or a USB card reader. Recently bought a second one of the same type. Highly recommend this product.

3 of 5 Not all that.... Monday, November 29, 2004
Ryan from New York, NY
I used to own an Olympus -- I guess I was spoiled. This camera DOES take great pictures. However, the zoom appears to be set to increments and does not graduate smoothly (i.e., 0% Zoom -- 20% Zoom -- 45% Zoom, etc.). Furthermore, the camera does not work the same when you drop it twice. Ryan

5 of 5 No problems With It Tuesday, September 14, 2004
Kofi from Allen, TX
I've owned and used two of these in a Canon 10D for 18 months with no problems at all. My opinion of the rebate processing outfit in New(?) Rochelle, on the other hand, is not as complimentary. Don't count on getting your rebate check without being persistent. It WILL take over 4 months, maybe 6.

3 of 5 Cheap but slow Thursday, September 09, 2004
A Customer from Manhattan, KS
It is cheap (after rebate) but slow compared to other brands. Eventually I bought another 512M 12X CF by Lexar, which is much faster.

5 of 5 Another Satisfied Canon G2 user Thursday, May 06, 2004
A Customer from Rochester, NY
I got one of these cards when I bought my camera over a year ago (2/03). Bought my second one 4/04 before going on a cruise. When I saw what the price was plus a $15 rebate it was too good to pass up. I used the first one almost exclusively for a year (I take a lot of pictures) and haven't had any problems so didn't hesitate to get another one.

1 of 5 Watch out - it's not failproof Sunday, November 30, 2003
wlu57 from New York, NY
I bought this CF card for my Canon S45 digital before going to Australia earlier this year. It worked fine for about a month and then it started corrupting the image data. Even after reformatting the card several times, it continued to do this. I had about 200 photos stored on it at the time, and I lost all of them. Now the card is completely un-usable. Total waste of money.

5 of 5 I've got two! Monday, April 29, 2002
Canon Powershot G2 user from Melbourne, FL
I bought this 256MB Compact Flash card to use with a 4 megapixel Canon G2 - it stores over 120 pictures at the highest resolution & best quality compression. It worked so well, I bought a second card. The write speed seems adequate (about 2-3 seconds), but (of course) I wish it were faster. It works well with the Viking Intelliflash reader, taking about 9 minutes to download over USB. I'm very satisfied!

This Viking memory module works great in my Fuji S1 digital camera. No problems as of yet. Worth the money if you need consistent, reliable data storage.

5 of 5 Good Sh*t Thursday, January 24, 2002
A Customer from Seattle, WA
Faster than most CF cards, and cheaper than most of the premium brands. Don't bother buying Sandisk or Lexar, total waste of money as this card will outperform in reading and writing speed.

5 of 5 Massive Memory - No Problem with Viking Monday, December 17, 2001
A Customer from Indianapolis, Indiana
I use CompactFlash cards in my Minolta Dimage 7 and my Nikon Coolpix 775. Having used SanDisk, I recently got a 256MB Viking. The price was right so I took a chance. It works perfectly. The CoolPix 775 can hardly imagine what to do with so much storage space. I can literally take hundreds of pictures on one card with the max size and fine setting. The Dimage 7 also works well with the card. At this time the card is working just as it should - great!
