Viewsonic X Series VX924 Monitor
ViewSonic VX924 19" LCD Display, 550:1, 3ms, 1280 x 1024, RGB/DVI

I have had this monitor for almost 3-1/2 years and it still works great. It has great flexibility by having two monitor inputs. The screen brightness is phenomenal and the picture quality is great as well. The 3ms response time doesn't seem to be a big difference from other LCD monitors I own. In regards to the DVI input, it does not include HDCP protection. Therefore, if you want to hook up a DVI to HDMI cable to a DVD player with HDMI, it will not display anything at all.

This is a good monitor. When it works it works very well. Displays everything just the way I would expect it to. There are no dead pixels on the display also. I did however run into problems with the monitor not turning back on after a power outage. I actually had to send it in for repair twice because of this. Viewsonic support is very cooperative with replacing the monitor but i did have to pay for shipping.

I have been played Doom 3, Prey, Half Life 2, Halo and Madden 07 all at full 1280x1024 resolution and the graphics and brightness are outstanding. I couldn't be happier. I had always been worried about going to lcd for fear of ghosting. Not a problem with this monitor at it's 3ms time. I have one stuck pixel that I don't even notice unless I'm one foot away from the screen. Very lightweight with a sturdy base. I'm running this with an nVidia GeForce 7600 PCI-E card and I couldn't be happier. No problems what so ever. Excellent monitor, especially if you can get it for the price I got it at when it's on sale.

I bought this LCD PC monitor because I thought it would be a good monitor for playing my xbox 360 on. It is. I had to buy another adapter so I could connect the Xbox 360 to the monitor. And unfortunately the speakers I had on hand couldn't work (two different male ends and I couldn't find the right female female adapter). Anyway, now that I finally got everything set up I am really impressed. I played the demo of Prey that I downloaded over Xbox Live and it is amazing. I've been playing video games forever and this is the first time I've ever seen graphics so real that I almost got motion sickness (like being on a jet going through really bad turbulence). This isn't a bad thing, if you ever play Prey you'll know what I'm talking about, but on this monitor its amazing.

Its been a month now. When first recived no dead pixs, both cables (d-sub dvi).After useing this for a month I would have to say this moniter is great, couldent be happier. Also have to say thanks to buy.com as always great job with purchase and shipping.

The first unit of the VX924 I received was faulty, and had bad, red shadowing of text, and the image had a "jitter" to it. I called Viewsonic support who suggest I refund/replace it with Buy.com. I contacted Buy.com who provided an RMA even though I had removed the UPC for a rebate already. I shipped the unit back, and received my replacement monitor today (fairly quick turnaround - about 2 weeks). The new monitor is a beauty. I have experienced none of the issues that were on the first one. The image is crisp, bright, and big. It is very easy to set up, and I like that it has both DVI and D-sub inputs. The OSD is easy to navigate, and overall the monitor has a sleek look. Kudos to both Viewsonic for this monitor, and Buy.com for their customer service.

I am a gamer enthusiast and never found LCDs to be that good for gaming until now. The VX924 is great for gaming, watching movies, or anything else. Buy.com did an great job as usual. Arrived in perfect condition. Display has no dead pixels at all. It is definately the best LCD for price. Buy if you can!!!!

Bought this to replace my Gateway FPD1810 LCD that died. This monitor is the best. Great graphics, easy to set up, arrived with no dead pixels. You can't buy a better monitor for the price, you could spend much more for less. Buy.com sells it for less than anyone, in some cases more than $100.00 less. Ordered it on Tuesday and received it Friday with free shipping. Excellent monitor with Excellent service, couldn't ask for more. First purchase from Buy.com but will definately come back.

I ordered the VX924 on a Fri. and recieved it in good condition Wednesday. The setup was easy. I changed the screen resolution to 1280 x 1024. The great thing about this View Sonic monitor is the DVI cable is included, a twenty dollar value. Add that the a $40.00 rebate and Buy dot com's great service and you have a winning deal. I poped in a DVD, ajusted the volume, and enjoyed the best entertainment I've had in a long time.

This viewsonic is the first LCD monitor that I have bought since my CRT's death. I love this monitor's clear text and vivid colors. I ordered this monitor when it first came out 7 months ago at $360. Now this monitor is at $229 after rebates its a steal. Go and get this monitor.

Well...read below and you will see what I have to say about this monitor and buy.com. 5+ Stars, all around!!! The Viewsonic is so much more than I expected. This is my first LCD monitor and I went in grand style.... The LCD is bright and sharp. I connected it to regular VGA and also the DVI inputs (my ATI card has both outputs) Very sharp and clear graphics. No ghosting and extremely fast refresh rate. I watched television, DVDs and tried a few photo imaging programs. Simple to set up. I would definitely recommend this monitor to anyone, and as a matter of fact, I already have. I have been purchasing with buy.com for several years and have always received the greatest of service and ease of ordering. I have never had a problem with them and the prices are just awesome. You should sign up for the email notifications, when new deals are available, through the web site. That is how I found out about the monitor!

Buy.Com did not just beat them all with the price but the monitor was delivered in 2 days!! This is my fourth purchase from Buy.Com and they have all been equally impressive. As for the monitor, I am really pleased with the gorgeous color, brightness, ultra sharpness and speed of display. I have other monitors but this 19" ViewSonic is the best. Thanks.

Excellent service from buy.com too! The monitor arrived two days later, works just fine out of the box. You can easily adjust the settings to your convenience. No dead pixels.

I just got a new machine with dual SLI GeForce 7900GTX and this is the monitor I chose to go along with it. The monitor provides stunning quality for new games as well as old. Also great for watching media. My only regret is that it's maximum resoultion is 1280 x 1024...but anything larger than this wouldn't fit on my desk. A great monitor in any case

Got it today (2 days after ordering), plugged it up with the DVI cable, and enjoying the big, bright, and very clear picture. Had a 17" CRT before and for the last time. View Sonic makes a great product and I recommend this one.

Bought this LCD display to replace an older Dell flat panel that was three years old. The Dell replaced a ViewSonic CRT that was a solid workhorse for at least three years. It was the best CRT I had ever owned. I knew I couldn't go wrong with another ViewSonic. The display on the VX924 is awesome. Easy to install, even for the most technically challenged individual. Crisp color, vivid pictures, and no dead pixels out of the box. ViewSonic hit the mark with this display. Attractive form factor and excellent quality at a price that made it hard to say "no". Not to mention the 3 year warranty. It also helps to buy from a reputable online retailer like buy.com. I've not had a problem with yet and doubt I ever will.

Buy.com beat all the other sellers by $100-$150. I ordered it on tues afternoon and it arrived at lunch time Thurs. Amazing, and that was with free shipping. It has zero dead pixles. This is my first LCD, I read the reviews I got on google and that sold me and I couldnt resist with such a great price. It plays my online war games perfectly and with great color and speed. The 19" seems so much bigger than my 17" crt monitor I was using. If your looking for a LCD monitor I highly recommend this veiwsonice and get it from buy.com, you wont be sorry. Thanks

I have used a 17" (Paid $600 bucks back in the day OUCH) LCD WAY too long. This one is so much larger and prettier - You wouldn't think 2 inches made such a difference. And NO dead pixels! City of Villains looks so beautiful on it. $199 after my coupon and rebate! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

When I saw that Buy.com had this LCD for $100-$150 lower than anyone else I had to do a google reveiw check on this monitor. Turns out its one of the best and fastest LCD's on the market so I ordered one right away. Buy.com shipped it so fast I think they emailed it to me. I ordered it on wens afternoon and it arrived on my doorstep the next day at lunch time~! And that was with the FREE shipping!! This is my first LCD and its really great. It arrived in perfect condition, it has zero dead pixels.( I ran a pixel check program) It looks awesome and plays my online war games perfectly. I highly recommend this LCD and I cant say enough good things about buy.com. A great deal, buy one before they run out, you wont regret it.

Fast service; ordered on the 16th and delivered on the 18th. I also like FedX (box arrived in perfect condition with no abuse indicated). Monitor was simple to install and there appears to be no dead pixels. This is a very attractive monitor that will grace any desk (great job ViewSonic!). Video is awesome and colors are brilliant. My only disappointment so far has been to find out that one cannot toggle from analog to digital via the menu which indicates one can. With both connectors being installed (D-Sub and DVI) you will have to shut down and remove one (the one you don't want) then start back up. ViewSonic technical support confirmed this. Also working with wordprocessing and spreadsheets will take some getting used to as characters are a little different than with CRTs. Working graphics is no problem and the monitor appears to be exceptional. The $40 rebate is frosting on the cake. A great buy.

I was very skeptical about purchasing an LCD monitor, being the previous owner of only CRT's. I have had great experiences with Viewsonic products so I figured I would take the plunge, particularly at the price that Buy.com was offering the LCD for. When I received the monitor I immediatly set it up with no troubles at all. The image is amazing with the resolution set to it's highest range. Delivery was lightning fast. I placed the order Thursday morning and received the monitor Friday morning with standard ground shipping. Great job Buy.com!

I was a little skeptical getting this because I've never gotten an LCD before. I went from a 21 inch CRT to this and all I can say is wow. The actual viewable area is much bigger than the 21 inch CRT. I have to say I love this monitor. It runs perfect on the game I play the most Counter-Strike 1.6, no ghosting at all.

That lcd is a winner if you looking for lcd for extreme graphics and watching dvds. no dead pixels. shipping was fast. slight color difference between my old A75f but overall great monitor! Highly recommended, u won't be disappointed!

Great monitor! Easy to use - I like the brightness and contrast controls. The screen looks great in day to day use and also for games. I was even using it for awhile to watch movies while I was looking for a new TV.

Great monitor and lightning fast shipping(2 days instead of the 5-9 stated with free shipping). No dead pixels with awesome performance thus far. I've encountered no ghosting issues at all with the games I've played on it so far(COD2, COH/COV, NFS:Most Wanted). I think this monitor provides an excellent bang for the buck factor. I highly recommend it if you're in the market for a high speed 19" LCD with both d-sub and DVI connections for the future that won't break the bank.

As a heavy user of Photoshop I was hesitant about getting an LCD monitor because of concerns about color matching. This monitor approaches the performance of a much more expensive monitor I use at work. There is a slight color shift as you move your view from left to right; that's the only reason I gave performance a 4 instead of a 5. This may be the brightest LCD monitor I have ever seen.

I just got my monitor yesterday and am so far thrilled with it. This is my first LCD monitor and I'm replacing a 17" Sony Trinitron monitor that I've had for a little over 4 years. The size difference between the two is much more significant than I was expecting. As a photographer, I was a little leary to buy an LCD because of past issues with color accuracy, but I calibrated this right out of the box and am stunned with how beautiful, sharp, and clear the display is. Colors seem to be spot on. All this combined with a great price and more space on my desktop makes this monitor hard to beat. I only regret that I lost the USB ports on my old monitor, but a new USB hub from buy.com will have that issue remedied shortly.

This is my first LCD after switching from an HP 17" CRT. And all I can say is WOW. The picture is brilliant, games look fantastic and even video is great. All in all I'm very satisfied and would recommend it to anyone. By the way, the buy.com price was great and shipping was blazing fast (it got here in 2 days).Oh, and no dead pixels either.

WOW! What a outstanding LCD. Everything I wanted and much much more. Received in three days with zero dead pixels. The display is large, bright, super fast with no ghosting & very easy to set up. Was a little hesitant with LCD's because of the ghosting and dead pixels.Did some research on the newest LCD's and decided to pick this baby up and boy am I glad I did! The performance is excellent. The colors are accurate and vivid and I love the desktop space the resolution gives me. Bought two and sent one back because of dead pixels, but the second one has zero dead pixels. Service from buy.com was great.
