Love the quality of picture and the size is great for the money. I don't use the webcam, however, as I have one on my laptop. I'd say the resolution on the webcam was not very good - too low. So if you are buying it mostly for that reason you may reconsider.

And then you plug it and turn it on!!! It's much more dazzling than I expected. I'd buy this monitor again and again. Viewsonic is truly the way to go... There's got to be one in everyone's price range and they all will meet your performance expectations. I have them at work and now I have one at home. How happy am I? VERRRRY!!!

Huge screen, definitly freed up desk space compared to old 19inch CRT. Unit has clear sharp text, black finish on the LCD is super clean (makes it look expensive) but it seems to show so much dust, gotta keep it clean. Have not been able to test the camera or the speakers, I know that they will be O.K. but nothing spectacular. Who ever heard of awesome sounding in monitor speakers or a rocking camera. Price to quailty ratio= PERFECT. I have no problems with this monitor and would RECD. to anyone. Get it and you wont be disappointed. Unless of course you want to take a loan to buy the 28in LCD's.

It arrived only 4 days after it was purchased and the monitor is AWESOME... However, when I installed the software for the integrated webcam, it was all in Russian... I did not choose that language, nor am I in Russia, so I am not really sure why/how it did that... but, it's ok for me because I happen to know Russian BUT if I didn't, I'd be mad. Other than that, it was a great buy!

This is the first Viewsonics LCD monitor that I had used. It has affordable price and average performance. However, after several months of service, this monitor started to flickering on and off very quickly for few minutes before it went back to normal. Finally, after less than year of service, this monitor could not be turned on. I would never buy any LCD monitor that has Viewsonic brand.

Good monitor. Displays sharp colors, and nice images. Now that I have it, I realize I would really like media ports like USB, SD reader. The base and the trim collect dust quickly. The Speakers are very poor almost Un-acceptable even for simple youtube videos. Haven't tried the built-in video camera. As far as monitors go, I am happy. Looks great, Great Warrenty, Good Price. If you buy this monitor, you will be happy with your purchase.
P.S.
I had a 24" Monitor from Dell. It was a little too much. 22" is the sweetspot for size.

I bought this monitor last Christmas, no dead pixels, crisp and clear. Viewsonics have 3 year warranties. I use this monitor at work, am able to look at multiple items at one time, side by side. I love the adjustable height and swivel from left to right, I am able to turn this monitor so that others I may be meeting with can see at the same time as myself. Built in speakers aren't much to talk about. It also has a built in web cam, no need for it now, but maybe someday. Overall, great buy for the money.

Pro: This monitor is bright.
Con: The camera is too dark, even compared with my 5 year old Intel IP camera. The microphone does not pickup sound efficiently, unless you speak very loud or speak very close to the monitor (that is hard for this big screen monitor). The sound of speakers are terrible. The instruction is not sufficient.
Addition to all: the power LED does not turn on, defective. Viewsonic web tech support is difficult to use. You can't easily find an email address to send an email to them for help.
Bottom line: not worth of money for this model, and perhaps the manufacturer.

I did not understand that I needed XP operating system or better to be able to use all features. I am using Windows 2000 and I cannot use the camera or the speakers. Otherwise, I really like the wide screen and the great color. This is a very good product and when I update to a new computer or operating system, I am sure I will enjoy it even more.

I moved from a 17" Sony CRT that I was very happy with to the Viewsonic and this is exactly what I wanted!
The monitor took a little time to get looking its best, for some reason when I initially set up the monitor I was getting blurry text. Over a couple days I adjusted various setting with my video cards software now the monitor looks crystal clear!
The on screen display is easy to use and understand. Built in web cam might come in handy and appears to work quite well, I would rather have a couple USB ports over the web cam. Very adjustable with swivel, tilt and height adjustments. Awesome looking gloss black finish to the entire monitor is hard to beat and this is one of Viewsonics best looking monitors! The built in speakers work but are almost worthless, I didn't buy it for the speakers.
Reasons I bought this monitor over other comparable ones: Viewsonics name, the great look of the monitor, swivel/height/tilt adjustments
