I am very happy with the product. It performed correctly right out of the box and had no dead pixals or any other defect. The built in speakers are very low fidelity, but adequate for their size. Great monitor, great price, fast shipping. Buy.com had great service and credit card incentive. $30 off first purchase. The only issue I have is, when monitor was delivered by FedEx, it was left at my front door, in plain view of the street, in the actual product box. Box also was not sealed. Was this review helpful?

Just under a month ago I ordered a Viewsonic VX2035WM to replace my old 17 in CRT monitor. Wow! What a difference! My old eyes can actually see they text, images, graphics and colors on the screen again. And the screen refresh rate is superb! The built-in speakers equal the best desktop speakers I have heard. My only regret with this purchase is that I did not order this monitor months ago! I urge you to buy yours today! Was this review helpful?

Using dual Viewsonic monitors side-by-side at work, I knew to expect an excellent monitor and I am not disappointed. A few months ago I already bought the VX2235wm to replace a broken 21" CRT. It is rather bright, but I loved it so much that as soon as I saw the low price (with rebate) on the VX2035wm it did not take too long to decide it was time to ditch the 17" CRT as well. No regrets, the space savings alone are worth it and the gain in screen real estate is making it a pleasure to work on the PC. I like to watch TV while working and the wide-screen allows me to place the tv picture on the side of the application instead of covering part of the active application.
The speakers are good to plug into my Pocket PC when I want to continue listening to an audio book (my Creative speakers line input is in the subwoofer - not a good place for it), but not to listen to music or anything else, Viewsonic would be better of to save the effort and not built in speakers so it can reduce the price by whatever these speakers cost. The only negatve on the monitor is its on/off button receded into the monitor and its tiny, difficult to push in and it feels like its the most likely part to break first (my PC tends to frequently pop out of hybernation and standby mode, which forces me to turn the monitor off).
As for BUY.COM, what can I say I love their speed in delivering the goods, have always shopped around for prices and they can't be beat. Have bought lots of stuff from them and in the rare occassion somethings DOA, returns are handled as efficiently as the shipping of purchased goods. Their customer reviews have also helped me greatly in making up my mind on what to buy and what to steer clear of, the effort people put in reviews is what makes BUY.COM such a great site and is proof customers love them to take that extra effort. This is overall a great monitor, the only minor issue is that it came with just one stuck pixel, usually green, but sometimes red. This though is not a big deal. I've got another one of these monitors that is perfect. There is just two things that I wish were different about this monitor, I wish it had a headphone jack, and that it did not come with that stupid sticker on it. Either way, for the price this is an excellent choice, and I would recommend it. Was this review helpful?

Amazing! The picture is excellent. I didn't have any dead or frozen pixels. I am not using the built in speakers because I have my own. A great product with a great price!
