Best value to be found if you wish to upgrade to a larger 5-4 aspect ratio monitor. Unlike the wide screen monitors that are more prevalent these days that may "seem" to offer more for the dollar, this monitor (after an "exhaustive search and many comparisons") is simply the best value to be found; hands down. A good balance between the "wish list" and true afford ability. I recommend this monitor to any who must consider cost but also require competitive capabilities and features be included. The 4 stars for performance are given because this monitor is not "world class, cutting edge" ... it would not be affordable if it were, but it does come close enough to be considered a solid performer and 4 stars suit it. The 4 stars for performance is because I would have been most "satisfied" with the performance of a "world class, cutting edge" monitor... this monitor may not be world class or cutting edge- but it is very competitive for the needs of most people and surely as close as possible to come while staying within my budget at the time of $250.00 - I paid $239.00 and change. Am I totally satisfied with the performance? No, but I am very pleased none the less. The 5 stars for value and ease of use both are well earned.

We had seen Viewsonic monitors at a doctor's office and were very impressed by the clarity and the bright colors. So, after our old monitor finally gave up the ghost, we started a search for a new one, looking at everything but leaning towards Viewsonic. We found this one reasonably quickly and felt this was the one. Our decision has proved to be right - this is a wonderfully easy monitor to set up and use, the colors are great and not a bad pixel or flaw. We're extremely happy with it.
