This is the third or fourth of these Viewsonic monitors I've bought for different customers. The ease of setup and use is excellent, and everyone has been very satisfied. Even the little speakers on this one get good reviews compared to the cheap stand-alones that folks get with their PCs. For myself I have my eye on Viewsonic 2021M, which is a fantastic bargain: the two customers I bought it for couldn't be happier.
I'd say that right now Viewsonic offer the best range of monitor features at the right price point. Was this review helpful?

This is a great value. The only way to get more would be to spend more. I am not enthralled with the clarity; there are times when it seems to lack sharpness and other times when it seems to be pretty good. Definitely worth the money. This monitor simply cannot be beat for the very low price. I compared a bunch of other options before settling on the highly-regarded Viewsonic brand name. I am quite happy with the decision, as I was looking for an inexpensive monitor for my teenage daughter's computer (to replace an ancient CRT clunker), and this was an excellent choice. It is clean, crisp and is comfortably viewed from even a rather severe angle, should that be necessary. My only possible cirticism is just based on the fact that it is a smaller 17"er, rather than something larger and more substantial. Hence, my performance rating of a 4, instead of the full 5. Of course, it was a simple plug-and-play connection to the PC, and could not have been easier. I am very pleased! Was this review helpful?

Looked to upgrade my monitor for a low price and the ViewSonic Optiquest was right on the money. Plug and play. Everything works great and got to remove the clutter of speakers on my desk. I was actually looking for a 15" LCD (looking for a small monitor for our kitchen area), but couldn't resist this 17-incher for the price :)!
Just received this monitor today, and everything is working out-of-the box. It is VERY bright, even in a bright, sunlit environment... in fact, I've turned down the brightness a bit.
The "Auto-tune" works nicely with my PC... it automatically fills the full display when resolution changes. I've tried several different resolutions, including the native one, and all seems to be good.
Speakers seem to work ok also. Was this review helpful?
