This light weight TV has a nice picture (for the price) but the sound quality is very poor and the remote did not work.
I cannot recommend this product, even for a bedroom, office or kitchen.
I also had problems with Buy.com
It took a LONG time for them to ship this item. I wrote to them 3 times asking when the item would be shipped and it took almost a week for an answer.
Then, I contacted Buy.com about the non working remote and my only option was to return the entire TV! Good grief....after waiting 2 weeks for it to arrive!
So, I contacted ViewSonic and they arranged to have a new remote sent out. I was pleased with ViewSonic customer service. Was this review helpful?

I've got this monitor mounted to the ceiling in my edit bay so I can monitor the TV or a game that I am recording for highlights. It's light weight so mounting it should be easy for you.
It has a pretty good picture and I've even been OK with the sound. I've got a small area to worry about, but I can hear the audio pretty well in that small room. I do have the sound up higher on the dial than on most TV's, but it's a small TV, so I wasn't expecting a large sound from it.
The picture has been very nice. Even SD stuff looks fine on this monitor. On my 40" Sony in my living room SD stuff can look horrible. On this Viewsonic it looks pretty good. It does take a while to "boot up," but now that I know it takes at least 10 seconds to be ready to go it doesn't bother me as much.
All-in-all a pretty good purchase for the price. Was this review helpful?

Really nice, classic Viewsonic video picture. Wimpy, small speakers with weak audio. Customer service excellent. They went over and above what was expected to help me. QAM tuner is very weak and needs a very strong signal. I had to go out in the yard and hook to the main cable line to get all the QAM channels scanned in. Worked fine when moved back inside after the scan. Was this review helpful?

Great TV for the price, great picture. Most other 19" are $350 - $450 so this is a great value. Its a drag the monitor is not tiltable. Only other complaint are the speakers- but it is a "monitor"- you will want additional speakers. Was this review helpful?
