ViewSonic DPX702WD-BW 7" Digital Photo Frame w/ 256MB Internal Memory - Interchangeable Faceplates

I bought this for my wife for valentine's day. It turned on initially and we transfered photos to it. After a week, we turned it off and couldn't get it to turn back on. By the time I went to get it replaced, I was told I couldn't get it replaced by buy.com. My only option is to try to contact the manufacturer to see if they will replace it. Beyond that, seemed like a great product.

The product was received as expected. The product control is a little awkward (one tap on power button to turn on, hold for two seconds to turn off). The navigation also requires a slight learning curve. All in all, a great product and a great present. Definitely buy if you want a digital frame and no frills.

Very good picture quality. Two minor down sides. It can be tricky to turn on. Takes just a tap. I have this at my desk and turn it off in the evening. Each day, the random slide show starts at the same photo. Other than that, it works very well. I have it change photos hourly. It is an enjoyable addition to my office.

The picture frame arrived in great condition. We had to call the factory rep. to find out how to turn it on. The directons were wrong. But they did take care of me on a Sunday! Now that I know how to operate it it's great.

You will read this elsewhere...hard to turn until you learn the "trick". You just need to tap the power button to turn it on. If you hold the power button too long it will turn off. Menu is a little hard to navigate, but not too bad once you get use to it. No remote. No calendar. I don't think there's the ability to play MP3's. Now with the good. Very nice picture, better resolution than other frames in this price range. Nice looking frames. Bigger internal memory than frames in the price range. Contains a battery so it has the ability to run without a power cord. Not found in units in the price range. Bottom line...higher resolution picture, bigger internal memory, and has a rechargeable battery compared with other frames in it's price range. Would buy again.

Bought this as a gift and was impressed with the overall picture quality. Looks very nice and a great bargain compared to others I have seen. CONS: A little hard to turn the power on; no mention in the manual of the internal battery. Both questions were answered by customer service via the 800 number. PROS: Great picture quality, low price, fast BUY.com service, responsive customer service via phone. Definitely recommended overall.

I bought this as a gift for my mom and she loved it!!! It was super easy to put pictures on and I will probably buy another one for my grandma soon! The only problem was that one of the menus on the frame came in another language and it took some trial and error to change it back to english. The instructions didn't cover changing the language back to english!

To turn on the frame it was needed at least 4-5 sec to press the power knob and see nothing but prestored photo, while keeping the power knob pressed to avoid turning off. No menu! The Quik Guide is not helpful as well as customer service. No answer to my e-mail for a long time. May be item I got is an unlucky example. That's why my review is in such a contradiction with previous ones.

I bought this digital frame after returning a frame I had bought from Walmart that had damaged pixels and was way overpriced. After uploading some pictures on to the memory card, plugging it in and turning it on, I was amazing at how clear and bright the screen was. I love how it cycles through my pictures and always delivers a high quality picture, just as if I had taken the picture five minutes ago. I would highly recommend the Viewsonic DPX702WD-BW Digital Photo Frame to anyone who likes displaying their digital pictures but doesn't like losing that digital quality.

I bought 2 of these for Valentines Day. Overall, this digital photo frame is a good value. It has a nice, clear display and plenty of memory for over 250 1mb pictures. (FYI, you don't need to use your 4-10mp formats to get good quality images on a small display like this.) Easy to setup and use. Plenty of display options. The 2 interchangable face plates is a nice touch. Overall good choice. Great for the office or night stand. The only problem I've seen is that occasionally it takes two or three attempts at the power button to turn it on. Not really sure why...but it happens on both of the ones I bought.

We bought 2 of these and gave them a gifts. We knew that ViewSonic made good computer monitors so we were hopeful that the frame would have a good pic. It is AWESOME! The pictures looked great on it! We did have a problem turning it on but if you double click the power button like a computer mouse the frame came on just fine. Easy to use. We were thrilled to give them as a gift.
