They boast how you can leave the receiver plugged into the computer all the time. But, the mouse is on all the time and wasting battery power, while you carry it in your pouch or whatever. It is constantly being activated and wasting power!
I finally got around the problem by sticking a popscickle stick down in the storage compartment for the receiver to turn it on and off and still having the receiver plugged into the notebook. Was this review helpful?

I have this for 3 days now and it just works! The receiver stores in the mouse when not in use and that also turns the mouse off. To save battery power, the mouse goes to power saving mode in about 2 minutes and the tracking LED would just blinks about twice per second, instead of always on. If no activity for another 3 minutes, the ouse goes into sleep and the tracking LED is turned off. To wake up the mouse, simply right or left click on the mouse and it would resync.
Two things I don't like. 1. the pointer's movement is too fast. I adjusted the speed two clicks down, but that also slowsdown the Notebook's touch pad speed and makes it too slow. But, this is not a major issue. 2. I don't like the blue finish color. The product picture shows more of a sandblast finish instead and that is what I like. Again, not big deal here.
If I do get my $12 Visa rebate card, this would be a great deal. I have used it with Acer Aspire One Netbook and also Acer Aspire 5720 Notebook. Was this review helpful?

Did not try playing game with it. For non-game, it works fine. The device has auto-sleep mode to conserve battery. To shut it off completely, the "stub" must be inserted back into the device. Was this review helpful?
