3 of 5 Cheap bluetooth Sunday, November 01, 2009 v_solid_snake from Philadelphia, PA
This is my 3rd notebook Bluetooth mouse (and overall 5th bluetooth mouse) and I'm disappointed.
PROS: Cheap. Did I mention it was very cheap? Easy to connect. Laser, not optical hence greater resolution and more accuracy. Great tracking. Kinda flat in shape so easy to travel with. Solid build. Good battery saving function.
CONS: It's big. Compared to my other notebook mouse, it's big. If anything I would say it's a tiny desktop mouse. Laser tracking can be annoying since you have to "slow down" the pointer in the options thus making touch pad too slow for occasional use. The mouse goes into "sleep" power save mode almost instantly once you stop using it and it takes a long time (good 5 - 10 seconds) to wake it up; quiet annoying when you must hurry to add notes to that power point. Even with the "Easy Riser" option, it is still very uncomfortable. It is all plastic, I wish there was some non-slip rubber on it. The buttons are pretty loud when clicking; can't game (minesweeper) undetected in class.
THOUGHTS: If you don't really use your notebook a lot and must have a mouse, then this is a great buy. It's cheap, easy to carry despite its large size and does its job very well. However, if you are planning on using a mouse a lot, I suggest looking for something more ergonomic. Was this review helpful?
