The Verbatim CameraMate downloads pictures very fast. There are no drivers needed if you are using Mac OS X Leopard. Be sure to plug your compactflash card into the reader first before inserting the CameraMate into your ExpressCard slot. Was this review helpful?

I am using the card reader with a Sandisk Extreme III to download pictures from my camera. The read speeds are fast enough that when copying to my notebook's internal hard drive and two external hard drives simultaneously, the hard drives are the bottleneck. One important note it that you should install the drivers. The reader worked for a while without them, but the computer was having a difficult time recognizing it. Installing the drivers solved my problems. Was this review helpful?
