What more can you say about Dual Layer Verbatim. It writes flawlessly. The only time I have ever had a failure to write was through user error. The only complaint is price. I wish it were a little less costly. Was this review helpful?

I have burnt over 50 of these disc without a single problem. Verbatim makes the best media and i fully recommend them for a reliable burn. However, the price on these discs is too high and has been for some time. 5 stars for performance, 3 stars for price, 4 stars overall. Was this review helpful?

I was a little skeptical when I first bought these Verbatim cds. I usually buy TDK or Memorex, but since they did not come in the inkjet printable, I bought the Verbatim. The backups of my home movies came out just fine. When I played the movies, they were a little slow to load but once they started playing there were no problems watching the movie. I have gone ahead and bought another 25 spindle pack. Was this review helpful?

COST:
WAY overpriced! After careful comparison pricing of sites that stock these discs, $2.50 per disc is way too high. I understand that quality costs more, but not THAT much! Please Verbatim & dealers, don't be so greedy, knock the price down, and you'll sell much more.
MEDIA:
Never a coaster, and that's what I demand. I have no time to waste money or data on discs that "may" be reliable. These Verbatims are consistent with high quality burns, and inkjet prints. My only gripe with the discs is the 35 mm print hub. It's well beyond time to make all printable disc surfaces to the smallest center hub. 16 mm would be nice, 18 mm at the most... Also, since these are the Primium-Price top-of-the-line products, why not make them with a high gloss finish like Taiyo Yuden uses for their high-quality 4.7GB DVD-R discs? That would be great!

In comparing Dual layer Inkjet Printable DVD+R 8.5GB, the Verbatim 2.4x seems to be the best I have tried. Compared to Ritek I rarely have a disc that does not fail to write completely. Ritek is unpredictable and I find that speeds above 2.4 with the Ritek have trouble be recognized on some of my dvd recorders. Verbatim rarely fails me. I am sold. Was this review helpful?
