The band's primary influences--Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Creed--are relatively clear, yet there are also touches of nu-metal and emo expressivity. Given the familiar territory it covers, US AND THEM isn't exactly a musical revelation, but lead singer Brent Smith wails admirably, the guitars are chunky and churning, and the overall package rocks. |
