Notes & Personnel Info | | Personnel: Scarface; Daz, Dr. Dre, 2Pac, Ice Cube, Johnny P. , Lisa Crawford, Too $hort. | | Scarface's fourth album, Untouchable, is yet another collection of hardcore gangsta rap, this time spiked with a G-funk influence -- both Dr. Dre ("Game Over") and 2Pac ("Smile") appear on the record, lending their rhyming skills to the deep bass grooves. While the production is impeccable, Scarface offers nothing distinctive on the album, and the record runs way too long to stay interesting. A handful of cuts, including those with Dre and 2Pac, are worthwhile, but Untouchable is his weakest effort yet. ~ Leo Stanley | | Hop into that Chevy Convertible with THE UNTOUCHABLE, and cruise along with hooks that recall vintage Parliament-Funkadelic. Rev the engine up with synthesizer-driven effects that will linger in your brain long after the album's over. Throw 2Pac, Dr. Dre, and Ice Cube in the back seat as featured vocalists and you've got a house party going on West Coast style. Scarface is back with his smooth-sounding beats and drag-down, in-your-face rapping. In "Money Makes The World Go Round," he brings the lyrical calisthenics of guest rapper Daz into the mix. Throughout, Scarface pounds out some heavy beats with some slick transitions. You can't touch this. | Engineer: Mike Dean | Musical Guests | | 2Pac | | Too Short | | Dr. Dre | | Ice Cube | | Johnny P. | | Lisa Crawford | | Daz |
