Between that record and its follow-up, Unpredictable, both Mystikal and No Limit improved exponentially, resulting in a record that was considerably stronger than its predecessor, even if it was far from perfect. Like Mind of Mystikal, Unpredictable is essentially bare-bones, hard-hitting, vulgar gangsta rap. There's nothing new in the beats or in Mystikal's rhymes, but the execution is much better than before. Even though the album runs much longer than it should, dedicated hardcore hip-hop fans will be able to find enough highlights to make wading through the murk a worthwhile task. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine | | In the wake of the emerging success of the No Limit family in 1997, Mystikal adds himself to a growing list of New Orleans-flavored hip-hop artists with his third album UNPREDICTABLE. Representing the forgotten coast of rap (the South Coast), Mystikal, with his unique rough-sounding vocals, has become one of the most recognizable MCs in the world of hip-hop. UNPREDICTABLE picks up where his last album left off, full of his distinctive brand of beats and rhymes. Elaborating on the strides Mystikal has made in one of the freshest styles in '90s hip-hop, UNPREDICTABLE is sure to stand the test of time. | Musical Guests | | Snoop Dogg | | E-40 | | Master P | | Mia X | | Silkk The Shocker | | B-Legit | | O'Dell |
