I have 4 of these remotes because they have a professional feel while being easy to set up and operate. The display is intuitive and the buttons are sized and placed well. Definitely recommend it for a quality remote without having to spend a ton of money.

I have bought several remotes in the past, looking for one that would control all of my devices (TV,DVD,Home Theater, Sterio,Satellite,VCR, etc.) from one unit. The RF20 is the first one to actually do everything I want. With the Learn feature, it will emulate any remote you have whether it is on the list or not. Or you can mix and match the commands (change the presets with the Learn feature)to control multiple devices from one mode (TV, DVD, AUDIO, ETC.). The setup was fairly easy (may be a challange to a novice)along with setting up any macros you might need. I am not sure how long the batteries last, I have been using this one for 3 months now and they are still going strong. The only con I have is the Backlight. It does not light up the screen as well as it could, though I don't use it much anyway. If you are looking for a "do Everything remote" at a resonable price, than this is it.

None of the so-called universal remotes ever have a satisfactory selection of built-in codes for the device buttons. But if you are patient, you can use the learning function to set up your system. The Manual is too brief in the learning and macro section but a little trial & error will get you on the right track. Custom text labels are limited to 5 characters. Still, it performs as well as remotes costing much more. Well worth the modest price.

This remote controls all of my electronic devices. It controls the tv, cable and dvr, audio system, and the dvd player. It was very easy to program. It also send out a more powerful signal than some of the original remotes. If you are deciding to buy a universal remote and are on the fence of which remote to get, I would definetly recommend you purchase this one.

Just bought our second RF-20. Works great for both IR and RF (with the RF receiver unit) functions, and does both at the same time. We've found both the IR and RF signals to be very strong. The IR signal is much stronger than the signals in the remotes that came with our TVs and cable boxes. We use the new one primarily to control our entertainment center from around the house. (It's also programmed to control two TVs.) Our AV equipment is in the basement. We have wired speakers around the house and outside. Our AV equipment includes a receiver and a Roku Soundbridge (very cool) for listening to Internet radio. We can sit on the back patio and use the RF-20 to turn on the receiver and Soundbridge, change stations (using the Favorites buttons), control the volume and mute. And we live in a 50-year-old brick and cinderblock house that would make a great bomb shelter. The only knock is that the unit is a bit bulky with a squarish shape that doesn't feel great in your hand. It's a minor issue. But they did a great job thinking through all possible uses so it's incredibly flexible. I've yet to find any functionality that cannot be programmed...and the price is great.

I finally found one remote that does it all. I've been looking forever to find a remote that controls my cable box, tv, dvd, surround sound, dvr, stereo, etc. It was very easy to program and has every feature you are looking for. My biggest problem was finding a remote that controlled the DVR on my cable box, and this is the one!
