I cannot keep a phone from getting beat up to save my life. I was hoping this Uniden would be the answer I have been looking for. It is a very durable phone, with some great features. It just does not hold a charge long enough to meet my needs! I tend to remove the phone at the start of the day, keep it with me all day long, and then hang it up at night. If the phone is in use throughout the day, which it almost always is, it runs out of charge. It is not enough to allow it to recharge over night. It now needs another 24 hours to charge back up to its optimal potential. That makes it a bit inconvenient! I may just purchase one or two more handsets to go with it, and rotate them as needed in order to maintain the optimal charge. See what you think if you decided to go with this phone! If your phone is kept on the charging cradle all day long, it should not give you any problems. You should be most satisfied with it! Another footnote... the signal tends to break up just going across the street to check the mailbox! I expected more, but all in all, I am just looking for a phone that can handle the abuse I dish out. Time will tell........
