Designed to be easy to use, the DECT2085-3 offers both English and Spanish language menu prompts, and a backlit keypad for entering phone numbers or accessing features in any light setting. A large, easy-to-read LCD screen displays the date, time, extension, and other data and is also compatible with the caller-ID and call-waiting display. The DECT2085-3 even offers 70 phone book locations and 30-number Caller ID history, so it's a snap to keep track of your most frequently dialed numbers. And with its three-party conferencing capability, multiple family members can join in on conversations.
Call Waiting/Caller ID Special Features
Managing your calls can sometimes be difficult, especially when you receive one call while you're still dealing with another. The DECT2085-3 helps keep things simple by displaying the name and number of the caller in call waiting even while you're on the phone (note: to activate the caller ID feature, you must first subscribe through your telephone company). You can also use the base as a speaker phone, transfer calls between handsets, and intercom between the handsets and the base for easy conferencing. Finally, personalized ringers let you know who's calling before you pick up the phone. Should your family grow, this system easily expands to up to six handsets.
About DECT Technology
Advanced DECT 6.0 technology, or Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications, operates on the newly released 1.9 GHz frequency band that was recently allocated to support cordless telephony. Uniden DECT 6.0 incorporates unique "listen before transmit" technology that avoids interference with many household products, such as baby monitors, microwaves and WiFi (which operate on frequencies like 2.4 GHz). As a result, DECT phones offer consumers enhanced voice clarity and crystal clear digital sound quality.
