| | | | A three-handset cordless phone system from Uniden, the DXI5586-3 delivers both signal quality and a useful set of features. Utilizing 5.8 GHz extended range technology, the DXI5586-3 is able to offer clearer reception and greater range than many 2.4 GHz and 900 MHz phones. Plus, the two additional handsets include individual charging cradles, so you can place them anywhere you have a power outlet--no additional phone jack is required.
Caller ID and call waiting compatible, the DXI5586-3 has a 30-number caller ID memory as well as 10 speed dial presets for your most frequently used numbers. With display-and-dial, you can call any displayed number simply by pressing the Talk button, while the auto-talk feature lets you answer the phone just by lifting the handset from its base. Handset and ringer controls allow you to adjust volume levels to your liking, and headset compatibility gives you the option of hands-free communication.
A handset-to-handset call transfer feature lets you route incoming calls to the other handset location, and a page button makes finding a misplaced handset quick and easy. A voicemail waiting indicator lets you know when you have messages waiting, and the low-battery indicator alerts you when your batteries are running low. The DXI5586-3 is hearing aid compatible as well as wall-mountable for added placement options.

I really recommend this phone for people who really fond of cordless phone as this has all its feature in it. I purchased recently and tested for some days, and it really worked well. Shipping speed is good as far as buy.com is concerned. Overall rating i can give is 4.5/5 Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Disapointed Monday, October 27, 2008 Cardell Stevenson, Sr. from Philadelphia, PA
Phones are not that great as folks on the other end
find it hard to hear you plus there's to much static
on all channels. I'm glad they were only $29.00 so I
didn't lose to much on this deal.

5 of 5 This purchase was a no-brainer! Monday, October 27, 2008 A Customer from Pasco, Washington
I had 2.4 Ghz phones interfering with my Wireless network at home. I purchased these 5.8 Ghz 3 phone set and they work flawlessly. I then sold my 2.4 Ghz set for 5 bucks more on Craigslist than I bought these for! What a bargain! Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Noisy Phones Monday, October 20, 2008 dicky49 from Saint Peters, MO
These Uniden cordless phones have good features for the price, particularly the screen clarity and print readabiity. The ease of use and set-up is good and fairly logical. However, the phones are all quite noisy no matter where they are set up or used and become unlistenable if more than 50 ft. from the base. Buyers beware these are not good phones, especially considering they use 5.8 tech. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 No mute button Monday, October 20, 2008 A Customer from New York, NY
I got the phone for a good price and everything is great. But then I realized there is no mute button which is a big con as I work from home and I use it for conference calls. Was this review helpful?

1 of 5 The cheap price matches the quality! Friday, October 17, 2008 Mike from Roosevelt, NJ
I have had Uniden phones before, and they were pretty well made. This phone seems to be very cheap. It feels hollow, and definitely would not withstand a common tossing at the TV during a tense football game. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 4 of 5 Good unit, but... Tuesday, October 07, 2008 isellfn from Fort Payne, AL
This is a great manufacturer's product. The overall performance of this telephone set is great...the only drawback I have is that there is only storage for 10 telephone numbers. I use this set for my business and find the transfer option great, so that if a phone call comes in for another person, you can just send it to the other person instead of running over to them. The other function I find very useful is when one unit is engaged, no one can pick up another unit and listen in. Was this review helpful?
