 Editor's Note
One of the most famous rock bands in the world, Ireland's U2 have refused to accept their incredible success with complacency and laziness. Rather than stagnating and continuing to pump out songs based on a formula that has proven amazingly popular, the band continue to grow and innovate, taking a particular interest in the possibilities of technology. ELEVATION is a concert film which captures Bono and the boys live in Boston in 2001. Directed by Hamish Hamilton with 20 cameras, the film is an interactive experience which lets the viewer dictate different perspectives and angles of viewing. U2 perform 19 of their best tunes, including "Sunday Bloody Sunday" and "Beautiful Day.'

5 of 5 Two thumbs up! Monday, March 17, 2003 FMA from Cary, NC
This is the best DVD that I own! The audio/video presentation of the concert is excellent and at times you feel like you are right in the front row. WOW -- What a show. These guys will rock for years to come and this is definately worth the 25 bucks! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Nice DVD! Sunday, May 12, 2002 DVD guy from TX
I just got the U2 Elevation dvd and so far it's what I expected. The way the concert goes from black&white to color is interesting. And the camera doesn't stay locked into one view. The sound is great. I don't know how good of a sound system the other person who said the sound quality of the dvd wasn't good, but it was good enough for me. Maybe he/she didn't pick the correct audio options in the dvd menu. You can choose either PCM stereo or Dolby Digital 5.1. Digital 5.1 is the way to go if you have a hometheater system with at least 5 speakers hooked up. With 5.1, you feel like you're part of the concert. With this Elevation dvd, you have to be careful. Once you put it in, it will automatically start the concert in just Stereo mode unless you change it to Dolby Digital 5.1. Maybe that's what happened to the other guy. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 WOW Wednesday, April 24, 2002 Tommysalami1919 from Don't Screw with the USA
At first I saw the U2 DVD concert for sale I was unsure about if it will be a rip off, but it's so intense...If you get it - and you should - put it in your DVD player and turn it up and you'll soon forget where you are. It literally takes you into the concert with tons of special features. If you're a U2 fan this is for you!!! Some songs on it are...New York, Beautiful Day, Elevation, With or With out you, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Where the Streets Have no Names, Walk on and much more....Have Fun!-Tommy Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Evolution by U2 is OK Tuesday, March 26, 2002 abuerg from columbus, ohio
This disc contains a ton of their hit songs and the video quality is awesome. I have never seen a concert video that looks this good. Unfortunately, the audio quality does not match the video quality. If you have a good quality hi-fi setup and appreciate high resolution sound, you will be disappointed. Was this review helpful?
