This is a small card just plug it install driver and you set, this card is more louder than my builtin mother board sound and if you have a 4.1 and up you really appreciate the surround sound.
In the past I always bought Creative lab sound card but this company become expensive and the driver are very crappy and it take longer to install than this turtle beach card took me and veru happy with this buy and I'm not going back. Was this review helpful?

Was looking for a card to hook up to my home theater system. This card works great. Optical output provides clean, clear 5.1 Dolby output. Using Windows XP SP3 and it works perfectly. Set the card up in the control panel and sending great sounding Dolby Digital 5.1 channel audio via the optical output for mp3's, mpeg's and other 2 channel audio. Was this review helpful?

This card replaced a brand new Creative Audigy X-Fi. The X-Fi installation corrupted my Windows OS at some fundamental level so that my machine wouldn't boot except into safe mode. Creative's tech support was no help whatsoever. Using restore points, uninstalling, registry cleaners, repair installations - nothing would fix it.
Finally I bought a new hard drive and installed Windows to it so I could preserve the contents of my old drive and dropped in this sound card from Turtle Beach. It sounds good, installation was simple and the card actually works.
I promise to never buy another CreativeLabs product. Was this review helpful?

This is the best sound card I ever purchase, the sound is great. I use a optical cable with my recever and the sound is amazing trough the BOSE 5.1 (AM10)speaker y already have, the efects that came with the software ("original", no trial or demo) is great play with music, efects, record, edit etc., and to test any speakers in any room, if u want'it for the games (like i did) is the best option you can get, for the price you are getting one of the best and easy to install sound card in the market, so don't think twice befor buying this great sound card just buy'it.
